“I’d like to say that the recreational league here is pretty fun. Good environment, decent field. The only issue is some of the refs aren’t well trained. Which I understand because it’s recreational. I for my game today was in the box about to take a shot and an opponent swiped my legs from under me causing me to go to the ground. There was no call and I was told it was “ not on purpose”. It should still be a foul and should have been given a penalty kick. Otherwise, it’s been very fun.”

Siebenthaler Fen Boardwalk - Beavercreek Wildlife Area

Address: 1998 Fairground Rd #1952, Dayton, OH 45434, USA

Park

“Very nice hidden nugget. Stumbled across this gem during a road trip. Very nice nature walk. Benches along the way. Large areas without shade so consider this if going on a hot, sunny day. The boards could use some attention, but we felt safe. It's not very high off the ground.”

Overlook Reserve

Creekside Reserve

Address: 761 Factory Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45434, USA

Park

“Loved this little hiking area. I parked in the parking lot of the Community Park and crossed the street following the paved trail. It loops around past a school. You'll see signage, and after a little bit you'll get to the trails. You can take the paved trail or there are two other trails you can choose, one that goes closer to the water and one that doesn't go as far in. Easy to follow trail signage, quiet. The trails that go closer to the water are not paved, I saw a few runners, it was a peaceful quiet hike. Saw lots of mushrooms. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the ambiance. Clean trails. Lots of beautiful native flowers. I took the paved trail back and it was full of people hiking, biking, running with their dog, walking, chatting on phones. Nice to see such a great place being enjoyed by the community ❤️🚲🌼🐾”

Hobson Freedom Park

Address: 2910 Trebein Rd, Fairborn, OH 45325, USA

Park

“Newly built Park looks pretty amazing, everything is brand new, workout equipment, beautiful basketball hoops, amazing playground for the kids, great bathrooms, Missouri trees, picnic area, and the dog park.”

James P Amon Biodiversity Reserve

Address: Deercreek Dr, Fairborn, OH 45324, USA

Park

“This is both a marsh and a prairie. The prairie has well kept walking paths, but the wood next to the marsh has a walking path that could use some work. However, it is a very quiet and isolated area for a nice hike. The numerous tree swallows are a delight and there are many wildflowers. A boardwalk to the marsh would really be a nice addition.”

Stafford Park

Address: 3636 Crab Orchard Ave, Beavercreek, OH 45430, USA

Park

“There was a Food Truck, I absolutely Love there! Nice park! If you ever see T's Heavenly Taste, Stop and Eat!”

Wartinger Park

Address: 3080 Kemp Rd, Dayton, OH 45431, USA

Park

“Great little park, especially at Christmas. A lot of history here. The barn is finished after being rebuilt after the tornado. Well kept.”

The Narrows Reserve Nature Center

Address: 2575 Indian Ripple Rd, Xenia, OH 45385, USA

Park

“The Narrows is a nice spot with a beautiful path along the water. There’s a few options as far as trails. It hasn’t changed much over the past decade as I relied on my past experience here to navigate the River loop. My only suggestion is the trails aren’t marked well/often. I helped a few people out because they couldn’t find their way to the parking lot. That made me realize I myself hadn’t seen many signs. Overall a lovely reserve that I would recommend to others!”

Hunter's Ridge Park

Address: 2133 Marchfield Trl, Beavercreek, OH 45434, USA

Park

“It's a great park for sitting on the ridge to hunt deer but not good if you want to bring your vintage record player to play some sweet vinyl. There aren't any electrical sockets around. You just stand there holding your record player while imagining listening to Captain Beyond.”

Dominick Lofino Park

Address: 640 Grange Hall Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45430, USA

Park

“Decent park. Not super big, but it has a pond, walking path, playground, pickleball courts, tennis courts, skate park. For someone like me who just likes to walk around, I don’t think I will go back more than once but it seems like a nice place for the family. Lots of benches along the walking path which was nice! I also saw some people fishing.”
