“One of the best days of our vacation was spent at this zoo! I would definitely come back again, this time maybe for The Wilds experience. We got there fairly early, not long after opening. FYI, there is a parking fee collected when you enter the lot, so be ready. We saw so many animals and had great views that allowed for some awesome pics. Definitely recommend spending the extra cash to feed the giraffes, too. I do this at any zoo that offers it and it never gets old. We covered most of the zoo in a very busy 3 hours, but if you want to take your time, you could easily spend a whole day. Oh, and I loved the Frosty cart, it was a great treat right before heading out. I haven't seen one like this anywhere else and it was a perfect ending to the day. Definitely recommend.”

“Beautiful little park. One trail leads to a small pond, the other around the woods. Also, keep an eye out for deer, rabbits and other woodland creatures on the trail. First picture is of the restrooms, visible as soon as you come to the park.”

“We absolutely enjoyed our whole experience at the zoo! It was very clean and spacious. All of the animals seemed happy. You could tell a lot of thought went into each animals living space. We really enjoyed getting a under water and a separate above water view of the Polar Bear. And enjoyed watching the monkeys swing and play on there nice "jungle gym". I've told several people how much we enjoyed it and recommend this zoo. We will def make plans to attend again”

“We are blessed with wonderful parks in Delaware county, and Deer Havenisour favorite! My family loves the diversity in walking areas (like the boardwalk). The visitor center is good for so much more than a bathroom, but those are always tidy and operational which is important. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly as well!”

“Clean, pleasant small park adjacent to the Powell (Delaware County) public library. Baseball diamond, several soccer goals, walking paths that tie into the surrounding neighborhood, a small shelter house with picnic tables and restrooms, a playground and 2 small racquet courts. Typically not very crowded.”

“Nice selection on equipment that toddlers and older children can enjoy. Shade in the equipment made it more pleasurable. There was one broken rung on the chain ladder but it was still safe to climb. The grass hadn't been mown recently but with all these rains I'm sure it's hard to keep up. The picnic shelter and 6 hoop basketball court were in good shape.”

“I figured that a burrito is basic 'Mexican' cuisine and would be a safe bet at a new & untested spot. This burrito was excellent! The steak was tender, juicy & flavorful. The portion was very generous and well worth the price. An, of course, I hada horchata to was it down. It was perfect, I could have had another!!!! Don't sleep on the chips & salsa!”
