“I can't speak on the urgent care side but for the primary side, I had great care from Dr. Theodore Derse earlier this week. I had a bad experience at the wake med in knightdale seeing Patrick Bruff, FNP and was almost done with wakemed but Dr. Derse sat down next to me and listened to my concerns without having the medical records there and was able to answer my questions about medications I considered using and giving me better solutions to help with my blood pressure. He was professional, personable and friendly. I didn't feel pressured to take anything and his recommendation worked. My blood pressure went from 140s/90s to 112/70 and that was a reading today. I have also reduced my sodium intake and will work on walking to reduce my weight which he wasn't concerned about since I lost 6-7 from my last visit. No one is perfect and can't be expected to know everything in the healthcare field but all I was asking for was a provider to listen to my issues with my health history and come up with a treatment plan that we both can agree on that is working! I will continue to see him for my primary needs!”

“Dr. Blakely was my grandmothers doctor several years ago at another practice and after he left that practice she never found a doctor she felt as comfortable with. When we found out he had this practice we called up and got her in to him. Dr. Blakely is so kind and such a wonderful doctor. My grandma recently had a medical emergency that landed her in the emergency room and he was at the hospital to see her before we even made it up there. He has been in to see her and manage her care every day that she has been in the hospital and keeping us updated as towhat is going on with her. We couldn't ask for a more caring doctor.
