Waxhaw Tap House

Have been there a few times to play trivia in the evening. Fine selection of local beers, with some snack foods available as well. The place is a converted fire station, and has the look and open feel of such a place. Tables are plentiful, and the staff is very nice. You get the feel of downtown Matthews there; you're right by the street, railroad tracks are 100 yards off, and they're pet-friendly. Highly recommend-

Nice place, they do concerts every Saturday and the place has a good vibe. They also have a big and nice fire pit where you can spend some time with friends. Great variety of beers.

Our first time here. It came highly recommended by a friend and did not disappoint! Big, open space with plenty of seating, both inside and out. The band, Unknown Artist, was playing on the outside stage this day, and there is a raised stage and good setup to see a band. The staff is friendly and attentive. And the crowd was fun and friendly, too! The beer options are really good, and they have something to suit pretty much everyone's taste. There is a food truck there set up by QR code at the tables where you can order and they bring it right to your table. It's a cool and efficient idea! The prices are a bit high, but the food is tasty. We will definitely be back and also highly recommend this place. Cheers!🍻

I love that the taphouse is LGBT friendly and will support them for that reason. The atmosphere is nice, they have lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They are dog friendly, inside and out and have treats and water bowls. When I went (Wednesday evening) they were having mingo (music bingo) and the leaders were super nice. It was a bit loud though and is broadcast into the outdoor areas. This is great if you want to play outside but if you want to go to the taphouse and have a quiet evening/talk with friends it makes it difficult to find a space for that. I was interested to find they have a Pepsi vending machine inside. I tried both sours they had on tap and they were bad... the bartender did offer me a sample ahead of time though and I declined, so that's on me. Better luck next time for me with drinks.
