Campground is very peaceful and beautiful with green rolling hills, a pond and ducks. Clean bath/showers with HOT water. Will definitely stay here again if ever in the area.”

“It's a little noisy considering how fast off the highway it is located, but it's not obnoxiously loud. The laundry room add clean and accessible but you don't get everything dry the first time. The staff is super friendly, the spots are spacious, but not every spot has a fire ring and no pucnic tables. That wasn't a deal breaker for us as we weren't there during the day. There is cable TV spaces and non cable spaces and we choose no TV. This trip was to unplug for us. The prices were perfect. Definitely would camp here again!”

“We stayed at the cabin for 2 nights in February. It is an adorable place, old charming house and with all modern comfort. The owners welcomed us when we arrived, already heated the house and turned on the fireplace. Also they gave useful tips for hiking and places to eat in the area. We certainly like to come back.”

“My wife and I married in the northeastern US and celebrated our honeymoon seven years ago. The Vineyard Cabin was definitely the highlight of our trip. I recommend this stay for anyone looking to spend some time away from the metro area and who looks forward to seeing a lot less traffic and a lot more nature. We've since moved closer to the area and are definitely looking forward to being back soon.”

We searched for the nearest lodging places coming into North Carolina & Pop & Mom's Campground was a GREAT call. We had been tired, hungry & just needing some shut eye, so we called the given business number & not only did we get thrown off by this owners kindness for letting us park for free but also, we each showeres for free. I truly am happy to leave a kind word for this place, because these people was truly not all about the money but, being kind & understanding by helping their fellow man. All rooms are on the ground floor. Located on Highway 52 South. Only 10 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. About three miles from downtown Mount Airy, Andy Griffith’s hometown—aka Mayberry.”

“Decided to stop and stay here on our way back to PA from Myrtle Beach. We booked a jacuzzi room and were able to check in early. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our kids enjoyed the pool. It's a little small but there were only a couple others in there. Breakfast wasn't a big hit with our family but had several choices. Lots of stores and restaurants near by. VERY clean and enjoyable.”

“After reading some of the reviews we were hesitant on going to the point we called and questioned what was going on up there. We got the answers we wanted. We arrived and was greeted like old friends. We couldn't ask for a better weekend. The pool was awesome! Our grandson had the best time. The food at the snack bar was very reasonable priced and tasty. Our campsite was clean and level. The whole campground was very well kept and in order. I very much enjoyed my stay and planning to go back soon.”

“Linda was an absolute delight. She and her husband were so welcoming. She was easy to talk to and we easily got lost in conversation. The home was comfortable and clean. We stayed in the Picasso. Really loved the bed and linens. She made dinner for us the first night and it was wonderful. I’m OBSESSED with her biscuits. Breakfast was wonderful as well. Her Dutch baby pancakes are awesome! Inspired me to purchase a few pans of my own to experiment. The Vermeer is super close to down town. Can’t wait to come back in April for our anniversary.”

“For the price, I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and breakfast. The room was clean. The fridge made an annoying whirling sound and I unplugged it but then it smelled a little funky and I had to deal with the sound. The motel was really close to a number of restaurants. Check in was easy. One of the clerks, Amanda?, was busy finishing her text before she'd acknowledge/help me out but the other people were hospitable. The breakfast was warm and had a number of options. The pool looked inviting but we didn't have time to check it out. There was also a coin laundry on site.”
