“Great storage place! Only weird thing is you never hear from them. They called me once to tell me I owed late ffees and that they had called me. That was the ONLY call I've ever had. On the good side, the spaces have lights in them and the owners gave a bunch of home grown tomatoes once. Good local folks.”

Campground is very peaceful and beautiful with green rolling hills, a pond and ducks. Clean bath/showers with HOT water. Will definitely stay here again if ever in the area.”

“A nice, small, warm and welcoming, folksy, functional, clean rest area. Has a lovely rose garden mixed in with azaleas. There are plenty of tall shady trees scattered in a hilly terrain with winding driveway. It’s perfect to park in a quiet shady spot to have a quick snooze (which is exactly what I did) . The hilly terrain offered good sound barrier from the highway or truck parking area. This is a great if you are traveling with a nervous or skittish dog not used to loud noises or just want to catch a few quick zzz’s. It’s exactly just what I was looking for. “Very warm socks in the two dollar bin are great quality. The socks in the five dollar bin are fantastic. In fact, they are comparable to my redhead socks from Bass Pro which are two or three times that price ( although the bass pro socks have a lifetime warranty). I buy some of my socks there now along with some from bass pro.”

“This was our third stop in Mt Airy to compare cheeseburgers with chili, mustard and slaw. We were getting full from the other burgers we sampled, so we split one at this location. Speedy Chef was the only restaurant that used a char-grill vs a flat top griddle, so the burger had an outdoor cooked flavor and crispy edges. We liked that. We also noticed the cheese was more melty on this burger than the other two locations we tried. The chili and the burger had a good flavor, but the slaw needed to be chopped a bit finer for my tastes. We also tried the hot fudge cake while there…and it was delicious. There are plenty of tables and chairs and since it wasn’t very busy, it wasn’t noisy inside. There is plenty of parking. Overall, a solid place for a cheeseburger and worth a try. We decided this Speedy Chef had the second-best cheeseburger in Mt Airy.”

“I have been going to Dr. Moffitt for a couple of years. I have a history of cholesteatoma (surgery 2017) and am partially deaf in my right ear. I'm only 34. He was the one that assisted me with picking out my hearing aid not too long ago and has been giving me my regular hearing tests. Today, 6/20/2022, he was the only doctor that has listened to me since I've been complaining about my left ear in August 2021. I have been complaining about loss of hearing, dull/aching pain, occasional sharp stabbing pain and more recently pulsatile tinnitus. After seeing that the tube in my left ear looked to not be beneficial and at my request, he removed the tube. It was then that he discovered possible granulation behind the ear drum and has referred me to an ENT. He also performed a hearing test on both ears and there has been a dramatic loss in my left ear since my last hearing test. I would like to apologize to the individual that left the 1-star review today for Dr. Moffitt. I had to wait about 20 or so minutes for my appointment and then I exceeded my allotted amount of time due to my circumstances. But if it wasn't for Dr. Moffitt taking the extra time with me today, I would still have that tube in my ear and I wouldn't know about the granulation. I have seen 3 ENTS numerous times since August 2021 and 1 as recently as a month ago to be told I was fine so today I am grateful for Dr. Moffitt.”

“Today we had to put down our sweet German Shepherd Hercules at Surry County Animal Hospital, and the compassion and kindness we received here this morning was incredible. They did everything they could for him, and treated him with respect and dignity. He passed peacefully and comfortably with us by his side and the doctor and nurse comforting us along the way. It was deeply moving. Thank you for being a gentle, kind presence on what has been the worst day of our lives. We sincerely thank the staff for there quick actions and kindness as well. God bless.”
