“It's like Mayberry and BBQ came together. The atmosphere was great, and there was a lot of decor to remind you that you are definitely in a BBQ restaurant. The service was exceptional and friendly. It was almost completely at capacity, but the service was super fast. They have that down to pat. We had the BBQ sandwich with slaw and fries. The sandwich had so much mest in it that half of it fell off, and we gad to scoop it up with our forks! It also comes with a side of NC BBQ sauce that I just ended up dipping my sandwich in. They are also smart and bring you a little pitcher of you tea so that the servers aren't tied up going back and forth refilling drinks! Smart, seeing how busy they were and how proficient the service was. It was a delicious lunch to satisfy us while traveling through Lexington. The only thing that may be a little frustrating is that with it being so busy, finding a good parking spot might be a little tricky. But, it's not bad and well worth it. The amount of business we saw coming in reassured us that this little spot is hopping and had to have good BBQ! Recommended to stop in, and we will be back!”

“I see a ton of reviews claiming this place has bed bugs, and while I won't dispute the claim that they may have had them in rooms before, I had worked for Holiday Inn Express for 5 years and can tell you we even had a couple times bed bugs were found, they generally get brought by nasty customers, and then get blamed for it. That being said I did not see Any bed bugs or any other bugs for that matter ! I am however only giving the 4 stars because the house keeper actually cleans the rooms, I was amazed at how clean the carpet and stuff was after being in a dump called economy inn in Lexington. While there were things that seemed out of place like the standing lamp with no lamp shade and a chair that the cushion was all but chewed all to pieces yet some of the furniture looked fairly decent , but like I say what impressed me is the fine Job the Housekeeper did with a place that might have only gotten a one or two star review if she hadn't done such a fine Job !”

“It’s been a rough week full of work and stress as has been the year. I feel like a steak but I live in rural Lexington, what am I to do 😢 But wait there’s hope. Texas Steak and Tap to to rescue! I ordered the Tuna and it was pretty good. Feeling good about that I took a stab at the steak 🥩 T Bones and Porter house being my favorite and they didn’t let me down at all! I ordered it rare and they gave it to me rare. I’m aware most might be a bit nauseous now but to clarify most of the time I ask for rare and I get it medium. The steak was tender and well seasoned. The side sweet potato was great along with a modest Cesar salad and suddenly the world doesn’t seem quite as hard. The staff were friendly and helpful. You get what you pay for. However there prices compare to long horn or sagebrush but just better food. You’re not a number here you’re a friend and your order is made for you with you in mind.”
