Manhattan

Kopitiam

Address: 151 E Broadway, New York, NY 10002, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“I’ve been hearing so much about this spot, so I needed to check it out. They don’t take reservations so get here early to grab a spot. The inside of the restaurant is busy and functional, it’s meant for you to dine in quickly and get out. Try many menu options, but not really stood out. Nasi Lemak was excellent, probably the best I’ve had in NYC. The cross cross mushrooms and oyster omelette were also good. Unfortunately, other dishes like the chicken fat rice, and the beef rendang were flat and flavorless. The best part is the prices - you can try a lot of plates for a relatively good deal in New York City.”

Délice Macarons - Upper West Side

Address: 321 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10023, USA

Cafe Bakery Store Restaurant

“We ordered an almond croissant and a raspberry chocolate croissant. Both were fresh, not too sweet, and very tasty. The latte and black tea were also great - it says tea forte, and they mean it, so if you’re British, you won’t be disappointed. The service was exceptional, and the lady who attended us went out of her way to accommodate us. If you haven’t been here, you are missing out!”

The Hungarian Pastry Shop

Address: 1030 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025, USA

“Amazing pastries! Usually, it's a long line but worth waiting and they attend super fast. Place is quite small and you can see a lot of students and people staying for long time. Taste the coffee too.”

Blue Bottle Coffee

Address: 20 Hudson Yards #228, New York, NY 10018, USA

Cafe Store

“Coffee and almond croissant were both delicious, no doubt about that, but the service seemed slightly disorganised. At some point there were 5 people behind the counter, yet I was waiting long time to get noticed and get my coffee afterward. And it was not even busy times! At least they don’t ask for the tip when I paid, like other similar establishment do, which seems to be some sort of a new trend unfortunately! Paid by card. Visited in May 2023.”

“This place is great, there is a wide range of cheese, jam, coffee.. anything you might need. I got to chat with this great lady about the jam selection. It’s definitely a place the Upper West Side community come together. I bought Branston pickle which i was looking for for a while. Great experience overall!”

Miriam's Cafe

“The most incredible sandwiches and salads I've tasted in the area. Very delicious food made from homemade recipes using fresh and healthy ingredients. The combination of ingredients are mind blowing and complement each other perfectly. The juice are freshly pressed. Such as freshly pressed grape juice. The staff are very nice and love what they do. The store nicely clean. Every order is prepared with passion to deliver customer satisfaction. I'm definitely hooked on this place.”

Salumeria Rosi

“Small elegant space. The wait for 2 people around 7pm was short. Food was delicious, and the staff was very kind. They offer small or large plates for some of their dishes, the small plates were the perfect portion for the both of us :)”

Dominique Ansel Bakery

Address: 189 Spring St, New York, NY 10012, USA

Bakery Cafe Store

“A lover of pastry dessert, yes I am! While visiting NYC off course I had to come to Dominique Ansel Bakery especially to try their famous Cronut. All of his desserts are made which such a detail not only in flavors but also how it is presented to you. How you will read the description it’s what it is portrayed to being served. Be aware this place gets super packed even before it is opened. People make lines at any season to buy his desserts; I know because I made a 20 minute line and it is because I went before they even opened but every single bite was so worth it! Oh yes my friend and I were sitting at their patio area at 8 am devouring many many desserts. There’s also a workshop store which I still need to visit on my next trip! Highly recommended!”

Avrilililly's Creamery LLC

Address: 1610 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10031, USA

Cafe Store

“Very cute newish spot in the neighborhood! They have pastries, ice cream, and some hot drinks. The decor is gorgeous. I had the cookies and cream ice cream and a matcha. They were *extremely* sweet, to the point that I actually struggled to finish my drink, but it’s a matter of taste! The owner was there and he was very kind.”

Blue Bottle Coffee

Address: 279 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10023, USA

Cafe Store

“Great coffee spot (anytime of day) for breakfast! Walked in and was greeted by a friendly barista which get warm and genuine on the cold winter morning. The store was clean and had a nice atmosphere. After deciphering the menu and talking about what coffee could be a pour over and options I decided on a pour over. It was super delicious and this place knew their beans and technique! It was super tasty too. They really know coffee ☕️ 😋 definitely a nice start to your day and right by the subway! Come on in and try a pour over today! You won’t regret it! They also have mobile ordering to place orders ahead 😎!”

Barachou Upper West Side

Address: 449 Amsterdam Avenue Between 81st &, W 82nd St, New York, NY 10024, USA

Bakery Cafe Store

“I walked into Barachou a pastry shop off of Amsterdam between 81 and 82 today. It smelled incredible. I asked what was their favorite. The answer was lemon meringue cream puff. I like lemon so that was easy. It may be the best thing I have ever put in my mouth.”

Tidal Tea

Address: 1520 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10031, USA

Cafe

“My teas were very good and nicely sized. They don’t include the “bubbles,” but they can be added for just 60 cents extra as well as a variety of other extras like aloe. They also have special popping flavored bubbles such as mango flavored and aloe along with other additional options you can add to your drink. They allow you to choose the level of sugar you prefer as well as how much ice you’d like in your beverage. They offer a small selection of food: chicken dumplings and a chili noodle dish among a couple other appetizer-type items, but it’s mainly just for teas: of which they have a large variety of flavors and customization options.”

El Churro

Address: 175 E Houston St, New York, NY 10002, USA

Cafe Store

“We were appealed by the adorable exterior of El Churro when we were driving on 1st Ave and decided to give it a try since we are fans of churros. When we visited Barcelona in 2019, we had churros and porras every day as breakfast. We miss it so much and haven't found a spot serving competitive version here in NYC yet. We got an order of 5 Churros, Dark Chocolate Dip and 2 cups of Latte to share between two of us. The portion was great enough with a reasonable price and the taste was decent. It was fried freshly and served warm. It's perfect to go with dark chocolate dip, soft and satisfying inside with crunchy layer. However, we expect the texture to be much more fluffy and hope it will be improved.”

Stumptown Coffee Roasters

Address: 30 W 8th St, New York, NY 10011, USA

Cafe Store

“I’ve been waiting to visit here for a long time. I felt it was worth the hype. I had a macchiato. The espresso was very good. Not too bitter, a touch of sharpness tempered by the milk. Well done folks. It was lightly busy. All the tables were full, but I had just enough patience to wait, and one opened up. It was a great little place to chill. Music definitely didn’t fit the vibe. But not a deal breaker.”

M&D Cafe

Address: 215 W 116th St, New York, NY 10026, USA

Cafe Store

“Great selection of food and drink! Coffees, milkshakes, muffins, croissants, lunch options too! Will definitely be back!!”

Amsterdam Cafe

Address: 481 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10024, USA

Cafe Meal takeaway Restaurant Store

“Stopped by after a visit to nearby American Museum of Natural History - within walking distance. Delicious and hot sandwiches just what we needed that day! The fries were great and we also tried a cup of the chicken noodle soup, which is made from scratch in store! Absolutely delicious and prices are fair. Service was good too 👌 Will definitely go this place more often!”

PlantShed

Address: 723 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025, USA

Florist Cafe Store

“What a wonderful shop! Not only do they have dozens of unique plants and plant related items, they also have a great cafe with a plethora of snacks. There's also an outdoor seating area that is decorated with plants. I was really excited to find a large strand of pearl plant there too and they even threw in a few long stem roses as a bonus gift! I will absolutely be shopping there again!”

Salento

Address: 2112 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10032, USA

Cafe Restaurant Store

“Found this place after walking across Highbridge. The food was amazing and authentic Colombian. It’s a small place but the service was warm and friendly. The portions were great. The place needs a bit of upkeep, but it was worth the visit.”

American Table

Address: Lincoln Center Plaza, 1941 Broadway, New York, NY 10023, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Simple offering in relaxing, ultra high ceiling foyer of the concert hall. Great for pre concert bite or if you need to take a break while in the area. Very quite on this rainy day. Pastries burgers hot soup and some warm food. They bring the food to the table for you. Free wifi.”

La Churreria

Address: 284 Mulberry St, New York, NY 10012, USA

Cafe Meal takeaway Restaurant Store

“super lover of churros 🙋🏻‍♀️ come to this place for 5 plain churros with thick chocolate sauce which just reminds me of those good old days in Spain. Not exactly the same as the churros are a bit thin and sauce is not dense enough for me, but almost what you can ask for. It’s a small place, still got inside seats to enjoy your snack and little moment.”

Cafe Katja

Address: 79 Orchard St, New York, NY 10002, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Good spot for Austrian, German food. The food is great. However, a little pricy for what you get - the schnitzels are very expensive (they are just meat cutlet). It has pub vibes and the service is good. I would recommend trying it! Beef goulash was my favourite.”

Sweet Churros

Address: 11 W 32nd St, New York, NY 10001, USA

Cafe Store

“Delicious! Love their taro flavor ice cream ~ the churro was freshly made, it was nice , crisp, and warm. One thing tho, I noticed a slightly meaty taste/fragrant and realized that they use the same oil to cook churro and hot dog (for churro dog)”

Hawa Smoothies & Bubble Tea

Address: 495 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10024, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Lovely small juice bar with many delightful smoothies and bubble teas. The avocado smoothie (medium or large) was delicious and filled me up almost as a meal in itself. Grab a smoothie and head over to the park and enjoy the day!”

Milk Bar

Address: 74 Christopher St, New York, NY 10014, USA

Cafe Bakery Store

“So happy there’s a Milk bar near my neck of the woods! While it’s not the flagship (which is a must see location), it gets the job done. Milk serves you some of the best soft serve in the game. Make sure you try it and get the crunch topping. Game changer. I LIVE for their shakes. We often pop in and see what flavor they have since they are constantly getting new ones. Don’t sleep on the cookies and cakes too. This place is a NYC staple.”

Möge Tee

Address: 971 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025, USA

Cafe

“This was a pleasant little surprise. First time testing boba tea and/or other variations. Moge Tee is definitely new. Inside is very inviting. The drink I had (Yogurt Mango Tea) was not too sweet which was perfect for me. I'm looking forward to trying other drinks from here.”
