“I love this place and I love Robin! I am sensitive to all kinds of things—foods, additives, certain oils, textiles and smells; you name it, I’m sensitive to it. Lol! Because of that, I go out of my way to make sure I eat organic, use organic products for myself, my family and my clients, and I invest in holistic therapies like homeopathy, bodywork and reiki to keep me balanced. Being mixed race, I used to go and get my hair chemically straightened and one time they left the relaxer on too long and burned my scalp, turning my soft curly hair texture to that of a crispy broom! :( I swore off going to salons for a long time because of the fear of the chemicals and harsh environment. But when I heard Robin was opening a holistic healing salon with organic haircare right here in town, it was a no brainer for me! If I’m traveling or she’s busy I WILL wait until I can get my hair done by Robin because I KNOW she’ll do a great job and only use safe products on my hair. As a reiki master, I love that she is also a reiki master too, so having her cut my hair is also a soothing, energy clearing experience. We both own businesses so we talk shop and encourage each other. She is such a loving, supportive Italian Mama to everyone who comes in—I even saw her get the postal worker some water and essential oils for her headache one time! “Curly girl with a lifetime of terrible hair cuts! Finally found a place back in 2017 that was all the way in Bergen County that was decent (at best). I live in Cranford and after a lot of thought, decided to give this place a try since I was so exhausted from driving so far for my hair. My husband knows that trips to the salon result in me being cranky for a few days because I am literally never happy, but today was different! Patricia was so great. The salon vibe is amazing and she made our time together so fun. She knew how nervous I was and really made me feel so comfy the whole time, not to mention she knows what she’s doing! I got a cut and color and both were exactly what I was looking for. I’m so happy I gave this place a whirl, definitely coming back! Patricia is a must for curly girls.”
