I wish to publicly thank the Watchung police officer who helped me in my time of need.
Being a dinosaur in this modern age of the so-called new technology and not being familiar with the gps on my cell phone, I was in plain words lost.
This officer in the true since of, "to protect and serve," not only directed
me to my destination, this officer programed my cell phone!! To me this was a fine example of someone going beyond the scope of duty.
This fine officer was on duty at an intersection, construction site off rt 22 west at approximately 10:15 am on 05/26/2022.
I truly regret not getting this officer's name or badge number, by not doing so I truly regret having to add this fine officer to the growing list of unrecognized police officers who take the extra step to serve and protect us. Again, many thanks and please stay safe in these sometimes-trying times.
