Friendly staff and owner and always someone to talk to at the bar, great draft list... grab and Guinness and strap in. Seasonal Irish staples shine but if you're looking for some awesome dishes try the sliders and sizzling sliced steak (always cooked right). “On 12/16/23, we went back with our daughter's family for a holiday, all gluten-free dinner for someone with an allergy. The decorations were all up, and the restaurant looked fabulous. Our waitress Electra took good care of us all night, and we ordered drinks and shared the gluten-free crabcake and calamari in addition to wedge salads. All were delicious. For dinner, we got four different gluten-free entrees: NY strip, Filet Mignon, Duroc Pirk Chop, and the Rack of Lamb. Everyone enjoyed their dinner, and there were no allergic reactions. Excellent! Dessert was a rich chocolate flour lesson cake and Cappucinos. Overall the service and atmosphere were excellent and we will definitely dine there again. On 11/2/23 We dined at SFR for the first time, and we were pleasantly surprised. Nice old farm house with add-on offered many interesting places to sit. We opted for low seating in the bar area where we could see the piano player. Nice wine selection by the glass. Soon after being seated, hot rolls and butter were served. For an appetizer, we tried the Steak Bites, which we cooked perfectly, and came with a tasty horseradish sauce. For dinner, we both ordered seafood, my wife the scallops, and I got the Mariscada, clams, callimari, and shrimp on pasta with a lighter pesto sauce. Next time, I would ask for some garlic to be added to the Mariscada. My wife said the scallops were perfect. For dessert, we opted for the pumpkin cheesecake and Cappucinos. All we delicious. Overall, we were very pleased and will plan to visit again soon.”

Rod‘s Tavern is the perfect place anytime of day or night…any season of the year. They currently have a fantastic winter cocktail pictured below called the Holiday Mule oh my goodness you must try it. Now that I’m finally a local (moved down almost 2 yrs ago) I will most definitely be stopping by more often. there’s a certain bartender that is so awesome to visit with.”

“Went to the beach to watch the Sunrise with my daughters and literally a hop skip and a jump from the beach we find this cute cafe. Staff was amazing, very bubbly and lots of laughs, they have an amazing breakfast menu which includes a breakfast sandwich that compliments the Jersey Shore. As long as you order it in true Southern Jersey form “Pork Roll egg and cheese on a roll with salt pepper ketchup”. Definitely will be back…”

“When I lived in Spring Lake Heights, I got sweets here all the time. Prices aren't cheap but always good quality. Especially cupcakes for people's birthdays. Visiting from PA and on my way to Point Pleasant to have lunch with a friend and couldn't go empty handed! Couldn't take chocolate or peanut butter mousse home bc of the long ride...but got some chocolate covered coconut macaroons for home.
