Felt stuck and limited service I asked the counterlady (hope that is a term) and she quickly jumped up and tracked down Rex who was just outside. Rex proceeded to give me the number of my savior mohave powersports. Made it home thanks to Rex and quick support from my favorite place which my mother and I are her bout 30% of the yearly weekends. I like cottonwood from beginning to end great people. In the end... maybe my favorite place on the map. Love you all. Keep visiting.”

Paseo Vista Park

Address: 2505 Paseo Verde Pkwy, Henderson, NV 89052, USA

Park

“This is one of my absolute favorite parks. There's lots of different areas here alone. There is 2 separate playgrounds: 1 for older kids, 1 for younger kids but both are a really good size, a splash pad, a chess area and I believe it is a cornhole area (maybe?) Also has tons of seating with shading from the trees and a grass area for the dogs in the family or a mid size party. Everytime I've come I've seen a lot of kids for my kids to make friends with. One of the best parks I've been to honestly 10 / 10”

Pah Rah Mountain Park

Address: 3545 Vista Blvd, Sparks, NV 89436, USA

Park

“Lots of park benches throughout the park. Most are in great condition with just two I found that are rusted. 2x Tennis courts in good condition although full of leaves and branches during fall / winter. 2x Half basketball courts. Basketball hoops are broken with court surface in disrepair (lots of cracks, pebbles and leaves) 2x Sand pits for throwing games 1x Volleyball sand court Lots of picnic tables under trees. Bathroom building has 2 drinking fountains and a bottle filling station although it was not in operational when I visited probably because of the freezing temperatures in the winter. Lots of bike racks throughout the park.”

First Creek Trailhead

Address: NV-159, Las Vegas, NV 89161, USA

Park

“First Creek is the epitome of a perfect desert oasis. This is arguably the best free hike anywhere near Las Vegas. You get sweeping views of the Red Rock mountains and end it in a tranquil seasonal waterfall/stream/pool surrounded by lush vegetation. This is a generally an easy hike, as most of it consists of a flat trail on a wide path with almost zero elevation gain or significant obstacles. However, closer to the waterfall area it does get more tricky, and from my experiences here there doesn’t seem to be an exact route to pool. There are so many meandering breakoff/secondary trails, and at times you have to scramble over boulders, slide down slopes or cross the stream - this is part of the adventure that makes this trail so fun! On hot days it’s very refreshing to take off your boots and step into the water - I would recommend flip-flops and a hiking pole for balance!”

5th Street Trailhead

Address: Carson City, NV 89701, USA

Park

“Took the wife 4 a trail ride... she calls this mnt. biking...lol. Parked at the 5th st. lot n unloaded the bikes, rode down 2 Silver Saddle n then out 2 the Mexican Dam, turned round n went back. All n all a great biking, walking or dawg walking path. Every1 was very friendly.”

“Such a beautiful park. Green grass, so much to explore, the Dam is awesome, park is clean and not one person but me was enjoying the space. Playground area looks fun and has plenty of covered picnic space. Park is also dog friendly!”

Logandale Mountain Bike Trails (Jackrabbit system)

Address: Logandale, Moapa Valley, NV 89021, USA

Historic St Thomas Loop Trail

Address: Old Saint Thomas Rd, Overton, NV 89040, USA

Park

“History is not there for us to like or not, it's there for us to learn from... I understand the sand will brush off, the salt will wash away, the tan will fade, but the memories will last a lifetime. So I take more pictures of us documenting our life and saving the memories. 1 hr & 15 mins from Henderson if taking Northshore Road via Lake Mead. 4wd advisable but our 2wd made it?! Warning: Do not go when rain is expected. Keep right at St.Thomas Road - start of 3.3 miles dirt road - park at designated lot and hike down for 1 mile to reach the start of the St. Thomas Loop Trail. Enjoy the trail of Nevada's many ghost towns that was abandoned when Lake Mead first filled up in the 1930.”

Clark County Dog Park at Spring Valley Community Park

Washoe Lake State Park Campground

Address: Unnamed Road, New Washoe City, NV 89704, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Great campground. We stayed here mid February 2022 in site 1 as a sleepover stop on our way home from Death Valley. The bathrooms are older construction but were very clean. The sites are generous and have electric access in Loop A. The campground filled up; we arrived about 4:00 pm on a holiday weekend and got one of the final sites available. Campground was clean and quiet; although, the water access was turned off. Even sites 8-20 have incredible views of the lake and mountains. Would definitely stay here again if traveling through the area.”

Sonoma Park

Address: 1003 Sonoma St, Carson City, NV 89701, USA

Park

“This is a wonderful dog park. Lots of grass and space for the dogs to run. People generally mind their dogs and are good about picking up poo. It could use more trees for shade and more benches in shaded areas. I hear the parks department is working on a master plan to improve the park. As in all dog parks, there are occasional disagreements among dogs, but owners typically respond quickly to those situations. Truly aggressive dogs (and aggressive people) are not tolerated for long, but such situations are rare, in my 10 years of experience at this park.”

Mt Rose Trailhead

Address: 24705 Mt Rose Hwy, Reno, NV 89511, USA

Park

“I really like this trail! The views, the wild flowers, nice shaded areas along the trail, and much cooler than many trails at this time of the year.”
