“I'm in love with this place. It's my first time here. As we walked up for breakfast, they had live music on the patio. A cozy banjo playing little ditties. So of course we sat out on the patio. The weather is perfect. The service is fantastic and the food blew my mind. Everything is real ingredients and home made. We started with a banana chocolate chip muffin and both had classic Benedict. It was perfect.”

“This is our second stay at Tahoe House and I can say we are loyal for life! We have had two incredible experiences here. We stayed in the carriage house which was STUNNING! Do yourself a favor (especially if you have children) and book the carriage house it was worth every penny. Paul the owner is so sweet and welcoming as always and Tatyana and I didn't catch the other girls name at the bar were SO sweet and hospitable. They have added so many amazing new drinks to their menu since we were here 2 years ago so I would definitely give it a try. If you are in Virginia City this is absolutely the place to stay!”

“It was busy so it took a few minutes to be greeted at the door, but no big deal! The chili relleno was amazing. Chips & salsa were good, although I personally prefer a thinner chip. Ambiance was nice at lunch with the windows open and breeze passing through. We will return when we are in town!”

“Watch from the street as they make fudge. Funny thing about fudge everyone has a memory of what fudge should taste like. My memory is of the Nestlé version. This is not that. There are many different flavors available and it is not cheap. The people who work there have pride in the product they sell, you feel like you gain weight just looking at the displays.”

“We did the paranormal investigation and during the day did the history tour. If I could give a higher rating I would. Both were outstanding! I had Dawn, I think that was her name, she did both tours for me. I'm going to break both down. The history museum tour is great for the family or just on your own. Tons of facts and beautiful antiques. It was very engaging and entertaining. Very informative. The paranormal investigation that I did, she gave us tools to use that we handled directly so you could tell and see what they did and didn't do. We were given history information and shown photos and videos that were taken there. There definitely was a decent amount of activity I got to experience and some that others experienced. It was NOT threatening in anyway it was very playful and the tour guide made me feel so at home and comfortable.”

“Super fun spot! We stopped in for lunch and we’re surprised by the huge many…I mean seriously, WAY more choices than we were expecting. And our food was delicious! There were just two of us so we sat at the bar for lunch. Rachel was very attentive and even took time to answer a lot of our questions about Virginia City and suggest some other things we should see/do while we were there. Thank you!”

“I bought a box of truffles here. A tiny bit more expensive then what I’ve paid for truffles in the past, but this place is also in the middle of nowhere so I’ll let it slide. I can easily say no where else in Virginia city smells as good as this shop. The hot dog smell had me drooling every time I walked last. Also the young men working here were the epitome of politeness. True gentleman. I highly recommend this shop. It’s what America should be”

“My parents and I were on our way back to our car when I walked by this store, looked in the window, and fell in love. What did I fall in love with? A doll in a high chair. I had to know how much she cost. Inside we found a wonderful store owned by two of the nicest people I've ever met. They had just recently opened. There's so many pretty things in the store that I wish I had more cash on me, but I'm happy to say the owners gave me an awesome deal on both the doll and the highchair. I'm so glad they decided to open a store in my favorite city in the world. You can't go wrong by stopping in and seeing their selection and talking to the owners. I wish every success on them because they deserve it!”
