Sucrose Bakery

So glad I found this cute bakery during my one-night stay in St. Charles. Best quiche I’ve had in my life - fluffy eggs, flaky crust, delicious all over. Went well with my cortado. The crowd was thinning out on a Friday in the late morning to early afternoon, so I didn’t feel too bad taking up a spot while doing work on my computer. The owner and staff were really nice about it, too. Wish I could find a cafe like this back home.

We have the privilege of living within walking distance of sucrose. We’ve never had anything that we wouldn’t eat again. The staff are amazing and remember folks right away; which just gives the nice small town feel. Their pastries and savory dishes are always rotating!! This is a spot we take guests when they visit and folks always want to go back. If you’re in the area, you should definitely stop by. Their cinnamon rolls on Saturdays are the BEST.

Lovely bakery, lots of delicious pastries, and very friendly staff. This is one of my favorite places in St.Charles.

Be prepared to be overwhelmed by all the beautiful and delicious baked goods on display here. From cookies and macarons to tarts and macaroons. We purchased 3 boxes of goodies for two households. So far, we sampled the chocolate tart, peanut butter silk slice, pecan tart, and ginger snap cookie, and all have been outstanding. The weekend is young for sampling the rest of our box. Great location and super friendly folks. There is inside seating. They serve several coffee and tea options, as well. Next time, I am trying their Chai latte.

We loved our stop here. It's a European-style bakery so lots of unique items to choose from. If you go on a Saturday they have a wider variety including savory options. Also a good place to grab a real espresso.
