“We arrived at Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham in Kansas City, KS in the early evening. The staff members that checked us in were polite & very helpful. Although the girl, it seemed, was in training, both people were most friendly and accommodating in the check in process and with directing us to our room. The room was clean with fresh towels and bed linens. The beds and pillows were very comfortable sleep in, and our whole family slept quite well. In the morning we enjoyed a continental break free at of toast, bagels, and cereal. There were plenty of items to select from including sausage biscuits from the mini fridge, muffins, waffles, coffee, juice cocoa, and tea. If I had any complaint, I would say the toast and bagels tasted a bit on the stale side. All in all, however, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. “KCI Expo Center is a great venue for events such as craft shows and medium-sized gatherings. The security personnel are great, very helpful. The down side for the venue is that it is near the airport, so it may be a drive for some people in the KC area. The concessions are minimal (burgers, hot dogs, etc.), and sometimes the owner closes the food section early. You may need to go elsewhere to eat. If you are thinking of reserving the venue, plan ahead to reserve space.”

“I have been trying to get home to my kids for the last 2 weeks I ended up missing my flight and couldn't get another one until Monday then ended up having to be taken from the airport to the hospital for medical reasons I had no money no way back to the airport and don't know anyone here Chelsea who works at the super 8 went above and beyond what any motel employee I know would have she did everything she could to get me back to the airport and once I was able to get a room she had the shuttle there within 10 minutes to pick me up and bring me to my room!! She was amazing! And I thank God I met her! The rooms are also amazing and very clean! I'd definitely recommend this motel to anyone! Thank you so much for everything!”

“After moving from a dirty, run down hotel, to this one, we were very pleased with how clean this hotel is. The decor is great, we loved the colors and how inviting it looked. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the room had a beautiful view. We very much enjoyed our stay here. The only complaint that we did have, was that we called down to the front desk because we didn't have enough pillows, and we needed a sheet for the sleeper sofa.The host seemed a little agitated, but I'm sure he was just really busy. However, he said he would call us after he took care of the customers ahead of us, and we never got a call...or the sheet or pillows. Even with that, we would definitely stay here again. I do recommend this hotel.”

“We didn't stay overnight but just went up to visit family staying there from out of town. We brought pizza into the lobby & they were not just super friendly, but helpful & accomodating to our family member who is in a wheelchair. They even went into the kitchen to get us plates & utensils. Our family has a nice experience too. They swam in the pool & enjoyed the breakfast.”

“The room was very clean. The desk clerk was very pleasant and helpful. We got a pet room and it had wood floors instead of carpets which was nice. The box spring of the bed had a hole under it and our cat ended up hiding inside the bed which was very inconvenient. The pet fee was also 27 dollars a night which I felt was a little steep when it's usually 10 or 15 dollars. The "free breakfast" seemed to be only granola bars which seemed a bit slim. Maybe all the muffins we're taken by the time I got there. Other than that it was a very positive experience. I would recommend because of the cleanliness of the rooms after having seen some nasty places with the same amount of stars.”

“What a great suite. Large comfortable bed with a large modern bathroom. Tons of storage and OUTLETS! We only stayed for a night, but the desk in the room as well as all the kitchen amenities would make it great for extended stay. Also the best gym I've seen in recent travels and a pool (no hot tub). Hot breakfast was great in the morning and I also appreciate they have hot drinks available all the time, too.”

Good comfortable king bed and the floor didn't creak everywhere like some places. Close to freeway on-ramps, gas, and restaurants. Them letting us bring a pet was the biggest plus for us as we were traveling with our cat. “It was fine. Not exactly what we expected but it worked nicely. Beds were comfortable and clean. The shower was warm. The kitchenette was suitable for our needs. We had to request kitchen items from the front desk and dish soap was not included, but we worked around it. The kids enjoyed having several satellite channels to choose from. We only have basic cable home, so this was a treat. Despite being pretty full during our stay, we were not disturbed by any other travelers. The Continental breakfast is basically muffins/granola bars and coffee, so we brought our own breakfast to make in the room. There were also several nearby restaurants to choose from. Overall, the place was well kept, not super fancy, well cared for, and the customer service was good. It was definitely worth the price for our family size.”
