“Anyone else notice that the people who have been arrested hate the police, but those who have used their services to be protected are complimentary? I was once stopped for a burnt-out headlight, but after a document check, was on my way with a reminder to get it fixed (it actually did just burn out that evening). At any rate, the few times I have needed assistance the police have been extraordinarily helpful and prompt in responding. I will agree with the reviewer that the people answering the phones sound annoyed, frazzled, and are abrupt, but that's (my experience) pretty typical for a lot of establishments. At the end of the day, we should care if the police are being fair, keeping the peace, and attentive when called. My experience is that the BPD succeeds at this.”
