“The trail is gravel lined and has two loops. One loop is attached to another that you can take over the road and into its own loop and then come back or you can just choose to do the first loop. The first loop has two benches the second loop does not. Each loop takes approximately 10 minutes to walk depending on your gait. There are two locations to park. I am giving the description from the neighborhood not directly off the road. It is quiet, and all I heard was the leaves crunching underfoot.”

“A beautiful lake side park right off of the highway! Paid parking, swimming beaches, bathrooms & outdoor shower available. Plenty of tree coverage & a few different playgrounds. Great place for a dog walk, picnic, outdoor event or some water vehicle fun! I didn't see anyone fishing, probably because the lake was so busy with jet skis & speed boats.”

“This is my first visit to a Sherburne County Park and Grams Park seems to be a gem in the county system. The trails with its scenic view platforms and boardwalks are fun to get engaged in the parks open natural spaces. The picnic shelter is nice and well maintained. I live the Pilot Rock picnic tables in the park. I was impressed how they are restoring 24-acres of native prairie. Their approach is unique using conservation grazing with sheep and goats. They have a nature play area and are working on a new design. This is going to be an even better park when the planning is done.”

“Beautiful! Great place for birding and being one with nature. Trails are well maintained. Multiple hiking trail options provides serious and novice hikers with opportunities. Family friendly hikes and a beautiful 7.5 mile wilderness drive. Worth the stop every time! They also have a clean and informative visitor center.”

“Some nice crushed gravel trails here. Enjoyed a peaceful walk late in the day and didn’t encounter anyone else out. There are a couple spots to watch the ducks & geese. Not sure if the bathrooms at the learning center are open year round, but it’s always a nice amenity.”

“It has been about 5 years since I have last been here. Lots of great updates and additions. It is a great trail to visit on a hot day. Most of the trail is in shade with the right amount of sun. Bottom line great trail for biking , walking ,running with good parking and adequate bathrooms. Also see wildlife pretty often here.”

“We stayed at the Hunters Lodge AirBNB this past Saturday night, and we truly enjoyed ourselves! It may be listed at a Hunters Lodge, but it has delightful country touches, which gives it a family-friendly appeal. The beds were so cozy. We had extra blankets to snuggle with, plenty of pillows, beautiful views out, and the window. We really enjoyed seeing all of the owner's paintings around the space as well. The kids are already asking when we take another trip, and we absolutely will be back again!”

“A beautiful area to observe animals and take in the area between Elk and Mississippi rivers. Rough trails so it probably isn't great for people not steady on their feet, or for small kids. We went in March and with snow melting soon, it will get mucky. We saw eagles, hawks, deer, gees, swans, and evidence/tracks from coyotes and maybe wolves and big cats. We'll need rubber boots if we go back there soon. Definitely a beautiful place to go. Leave your dogs at home though, dogs (even on leash) are not allowed.”

“We held our class reunion there. I loved the layout of the park. I was concerned that our class would not have access to a shelter and was thrilled when I drive in to find three sheltered areas and a dog park. There is also a garage area that you can rent for special occasions. If you live near here and have never visited this park you should. A gem in the beautiful outskirts of Big Lake.”

“Such a large decent size park. Somewhere where you can bring the whole family or a bunch of friends. My daughter loves coming here on a nice day and making friends. It is so clean and well kept. I love making the drive for a great quality park. I DEFINITELY recommend this location, especially if you have little ones.”

“Our wedding ceremony took place at Rivers Edge Commons and we could not be happier with the location! Having built in seating and electrical for our DJ and Singer were a huge plus! We opted for a fall wedding due to the colored foliage along the Mississippi River. We are so lucky that our many of our guests showed up even when there was traffic in the downtown area. Parking is great as there are many places to park and the bars on main st are also a huge plus for event planning. The only little thing, we were not able to reserve parking spots for our wedding party vehicles but we made it work anyway. So glad we can revisit our ceremony site for anniversaries to come! “Went to play disc golf. Seems like they are installing improvements to the course, including cement slab tees, which is cool. Makes it difficult to know the route, though. Hopefully they will be done soon and they creat an online map showing the starting point and all the tee and basket locations.”
