“Fantastic sand bottom pool. Like going to the lake without the seaweed and muddy beach. Very nice sand and they let you build a monster sand castle or puddle in the sand. Mostly 2 - 3 feet deep, the middle gets to 5 feet deep. Many smaller water slides and one huge water slide. Snack bar with food and drinks and many covered areas for this bright hot days.”

“Beautiful, well-maintained park. My husband and I have visited this park several times, but most recently for a little lunch picnic and reading. It has huge lawns with plenty of shade. There are shelters, but when we visited they were being used by families. I'm not sure if they're rentable/reservable or not, so you might want to plan ahead. We visited on a Sunday around noon. There is a public bathroom, nice paved trails, and a clean-looking playground. There's a little noise from nearby traffic, but other than that it's very picturesque. It was very spacious and comfortable. Ample parking.”

“I tried contacting them about an issue I had and they never returned my call even after I left them my phone number. Nice place but poor customer service. Updated 09/30/21: although it took a while to hear back the staff did give me a call back. The person I spoke with was very knowledgeable and listened to the concern I had, which I appreciated. So I did change my review to 5 stars. Thank you for following up with me.”

Southbridge Community Dog Park

Address: 7101 Southbridge Pkwy, Shakopee, MN 55379, USA

Park

“The dog park is awesome!! It has 2 areas. One small fenced in area for 25lb dogs and under right off the parking lot. The other is attached through a double gate that is an off leash area with tons and tons of space! In the far left back corner is a wide open space (you can see it from 169 going north) That's where a lot of people and dogs like to hang out. There are some trails throughout the area that are wooded and really nice to walk through. NOTE-IN THE SUMMER THERE ARE TONS OF TICKS. but that is to be expected given the area we're in. If you're not interested in the park itself, there is a mile long walking path around the entire thing that is really nice too! Careful though, the path is pretty icy during the winter where the sun doesn't make direct contact. All in all there are a couple of NOT so friendly dogs that owners still bring to the park, so be mindful of the interactions with some other dogs, just in case. We love the dog park, and I'm sure your friendly dogs will too!!”

Lions Park

Address: 1103 Adams St S, Shakopee, MN 55379, USA

Park

“I mainly come to this park to play disc golf. It’s great for a casual game when you don’t feel like trekking through brush or searching for discs in tall grass. It’s not the most technical course but offers a nice mix of holes with a couple water shots all spanning a well-kept, mowed park setting. The course includes 18 holes with long and short tee boxes on most. They also have clean bathrooms with running water. It’s close to home, and I come here weekly during the warmer months.”

“Very clean and well kept. Quiet park with interesting attractions that allow for a learning opportunity. My son loves the fighter jets outside the gym.”
