“Fashion Avenue has been a source of great clothing for me over many years. I think it is the best women’s consignment shop in the Twin Cities. Everything in the store is consignment, several things appear to have never been worn as they still have original sales tags on them. They only accept items in excellent condition. Every garment item is clean and looks ready to wear. I find many special occasion dresses, shoes, and purses here – and have bought more than one coat or jacket that I absolutely love. Name brands that discerning shoppers look for are consistently here, like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Neiman Marcus, Aknvas, Dior, and Gucci. I also like the brand Soft Surroundings. The owner/buyer has exceptional taste and amazing connections across to get fabulous pieces and offer fair prices. The clothing selection is what draws me in, but I’ve also found just the belt and sandals. great handbags and other accessories. A few men’s items are usually there. This is a great place to shop for one-of-a-kind, better-than-average clothing. The lighting is good for seeing true colors; sometimes I talk my potential purchase to the big front windows where natural daylight helps me make good color matches. They do provide changing rooms. All sales are final – which is important to know when making an “iffy” choice. I like supporting this consignment store and have purchased a gift card multiple times to share the experience with others. Parking can be challenging. Its location is wonderful – nice and central. The staff is also helpful and friendly.”

Within this shop there is a barber shop and a small restaurant that serves one of the best omelets I've had. There is a two pump gas station located outside that is available 24/7.”

“I absolutely loved working with Deborah! I was referred by my wedding planner, I was looking for a black wedding dress which is extremely hard to come by especially in plus size. I made a consult about a year and a half out from my wedding. When I came back for the drawings after the first consult I was amazed at the not one but three options she had for me! They all were amazing and I finally picked one that really fit what I was looking for. Every appointment was amazing, all the steps were super easy for me as well as scheduling. When I came in for my final fitting, about four days before my wedding, the hem in the front was a bit long and Deborah stayed up all night to fix the hem and was ready for me to try on and take home the next day! I absolutely loved my final look, it was everything and more I had hoped for. I cannot recommend this shop enough! Not only was the customer service great, the price was amazing and right around the budget I wanted. Thank you so much for making my vision come to life and helping my big day!”

“Good variety of sporting equipment. However the shelves, items aren't always neatly placed on the racks and looks a little messy/disorganized. Items are thrown over the racks, such as winter coats. The employees are nice and one gentleman that was working Saturday night, helped us unlock a winter coat to try on. He was very nice, prompt and followed up with us if we liked it. We found a better price on the manufacturer site and purchased there but appreciated his assistance.”

“Really cute & eclectic little shop that is INSIDE the lofts there. Thank goodness there was a sign that said to call on the call box because I definitely didn’t think I was in the right spot. I went on a Sunday an hour before closing & it was busy in there! I liked the bin/pile at the back so I could find some good deals. The items marked/priced that were hanging we quite a bit outside my price range. For example, a lot of the old graphic Tees were $40+. Tons of more gender neutral and very casual finds - I was hoping to find a dress or skirt but those items were slim pickings. Thank you for having a dressing room as well! “Stillwater Kilts is primarily an online store. If you are in the Minnesota area you can call and setup an appointment to stop by. (You may even be lucky enough to meet one of the owners flying squirrels I was not so lucky) First off amazing Kilt Pins. The quality of which I have not seen. Jerry the owner does a great job on them. The kilts they have in stock or more of the larger known tartans. So if you’re looking for your clan you may be out of luck. If I heard correctly they don’t do custom tartans. But if you want one of their kilts custom sized they will work with you. The sporrans are really good quality. I picked one up for a benefit dinner I was attending. Jerry the owner won’t hesitate to have a conversation with you about any number of topics. I almost forgot it was our first time meeting him. Felt like I knew the guy for years. If you’re looking to support a local family business you have found it. Jerry was very responsive to emails and phone calls. Overall I was extremely satisfied with the service.”
