“Lovely small restaurant and coffeeshop for Somali food. Informal, an extended seating area in the back, seems to do substantial carryout business from what I can tell. Don't expect it to be fancy, but it's a good value and I've always had great experiences with the people who work here. The bread and beans (in the breakfast section) are wonderful and vegetarian and very filling, regardless of what time of day you're wanting to eat. And the tea with milk is classic Somali tea, which, if you've never tried it, will remind you a little bit of a chai latte -- sweetened and spiced.”

“Ordering taxi was quick and easy. Driver was 5 minutes early for pickup, which was nice, and called as well as texted me (although the text was in Spanish) to let me know she was there. Driver was nice and we had a good conversation. At destination I was told the fare was $50, even though I was quoted $35 on phone. Was surprised at how big a difference this was and said something to driver. Without any argument she agreed to $35, which was amazing but made me question the accuracy of the $50 fee. I had great service and would use again, but definitely getting quote first.”
