“University Pharmacy offers services that cannot be duplicated at CVS or your family physician. Need a shingles vaccine? University Pharmacy recorded my email to advise when Shingrix became available; we received an email and got the vaccination. We have been on the list at Henry Ford Health, CVS, and family doctor for much longer with no notice of availability. We take our grandchildren here for flu shots, because the expert professionals care about doing a good job without pain: no more tears, they feel nothing! Students can purchase cold medicine at 1/2 the cost of CVS, and the pharmacist will guide you to the nighttime or 24 hour variety. No shelve stocking clerks here, all responsible intellectual pharmacists competent to answer any question. Students need ready access to low cost medical supplies, birth control, and a granola bar or beverage for 75 cents. The loss of this caring facility hurts the students, university personnel, their families and the public. WSU made a bonehead decision to remove an on site pharmacy, especially when Pharmacy School students have an opportunity to work in their profession. Bring back University Pharmacy!!!”

“Received a written medication script from our local vet. Never before had I experienced a written script for a pet. Always paid bet $30-$170 per med at the vets office,depending on med needed. Had just paid $106.00 for Carprofen (1 med) (pre-surgery) So, I asked the receptionist "where should I take this to have it filled?" She simply said any pharmacy. Oh OK.While I seriously, was not interested in driving from 1 pharmacy to another and maybe yet another I came home and called around. CVS PHARMACY=$53.00 WALMART= NO ANSWER, ON HOLD VERY LONG TIME. WALLGREENS=SAME, ON HOLD VERY LONG TIME. MEIJER PHARMACY=Not only was the young man kind and pleasant, He asked me if I had the Good RX CARD or the Single Care Card. I explained to him I was in fact familiar with both, but that I no longer had them, He went on to instruct me in how to upload the card, and what a significant savings there would, if I do so, website states the price for all local pharmacy s. $5. And some cents. So I was actually charged more, dunno what happened there, But $10.00 verses $53.00 more or less at your vet. Thank you Meijer PHARMACY, I needed that little break this week. “Having an aging relative means a constant influx of new prescriptions. If you have ever tried to call a CVS, you quickly discover that they never answer the phone, you are in an endless computerized loop. Press 9 to check on the status of a prescription, and after pressing 9 it wants you to enter a mysterious prescription number, that of course you don't have. At that point the computer tells you to go online and check the patient's account, which of course they don't have, because they are 80 years old and don't go online. It's so refreshing to just call Walmart pharmacy, a real person answers the phone, and tells you that the prescription is ready for pickup. Or that the prescription was sent to a different pharmacy, or that the prescription was never called in. But at least you talk to a real person instead of spending 20 minutes pressing buttons.”

“I got to the pharmacy drive-thru and pressed the call button. I thought maybe I didn't fully press it the first time so I pressed it again. Nobody came to the window, but I could see them inside. I waited for what felt like 15 minutes while cars were lining up behind me and leaving. All the while I was complaining on the phone talking about how I was going to call their boss. When the woman did show up at the window she noticed that my dad was allergic to a certain medicine and the medicine that she was about to hand over could possibly cause an allergic reaction. I was on the phone with my parents going back and forth on whether we wanted the medicine or not. Ultimately, my dad wanted to take it. They took their time with me, and they did not show any frustration even though it was a frustrating situation. Therefore, they redeemed themselves. I take away one star because it would have been more professional for them to acknowledge the fact that I was there while I was waiting. Other than that, they calmed the beast that was emerging.”
