“I contacted the facility yesterday and inquired about my loved ones whom died when I was a child. I spoke with a very kind and helpful young man( I can't recall his name), he took the time to locate both loved ones, provided specific details and place markers with their names on the sites so that I could easily find them. Both my family and myself were prepared to clean the grave sites but he took care of it for us! We were able to focus on our loved ones and not cleaning the debris or marker. Thank you and we have prayed for the Lord to bless you for your kindness!”

“My husband passed suddenly in 2010 and, like most people, never thought about pre-planning our burials. In a random conversation 3 weeks before he passed, he said "Cremate me. I don't care what you do with my ashes". He has been at home with me all this time as I wasn't sure what to do. One day I was at a committal service in the John Paul Mausoleum, and saw the beautiful stained glass window behind the altar and I just knew this is where we were meant to be. I am currently making interest-free payments on a glass front niche right below that beautiful stained glass, and, once paid off, will finally lay my husband to rest. My aunt and uncle are also buried at the cemetery and, when I visit, enjoy how well-kept it is, and love listening to the birds chirping on a quiet day.”

“This is a really nice cemetery. Ive never once seen this place unkept. Grass is always cut, very few broken or cracked stones. The gate and fence are in excellent condition. If all graveyards looked like this, it would be great. Sone very cool stones in this yard.”

“As you can see in my photo's, the ground is soft at this cemetery and sinks many stones below the thick grass surface. The caretakers mows and weed-wacks the area regularly, but lately more and more dead spots and weeds are showing up. The hours are fair, but limited. I think Sunday's are reserved for burials and private ceremony's though. As of 30 years ago, you could buy an affordable plot here, once. But there's probably a good chance it is full now or they require monthly payments for life.”

“I love this cemetery. I have wanted to locate my uncle's tombstone for two years. The office staff at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, from where the maintenance workers for Holy Cross are assigned, have shown little regard to my requests over these two years. My 'work orders' were 'lost'. They couldn't give me a map I needed showing the lot and grave location to find a stone buried in the ground for 100 years. They told me repeatedly maintenance people were rarely there. I contacted Sylvia M, an assistant to the bishop. Thanks to her intercession, I was finally able to meet two great maintenance men at the cemetery; unfortunately there was no headstone to be found, but now I know where my uncle's grave is. Good luck getting help from the staff at OLOH Cemetery! (My uncle will have a headstone soon.)”
