“Powerful church when Elder James Chalk was Pastor on Livernois in Detroit. I was saved by his ministry in 1973. Denise Chalk walked me to the altar. I will never forget that day. She and I worked in a typing pool at a phone company (I believe). That corner church was anointed, power packed, where people were saved, delivered and set free. I was one of those people who were set free. I am still just as excited today about what the Lord has done for me. I am presently an Evangelist going about teaching those same Words that Elder James Chalk taught so many years ago. I will always cherish those memories and his lovely family who always welcomed me in their home. We had holy, sanctified times in and out of the church. I even remember the red usher uniform dresses we had back then....and little Sister Laruth (spelling?), oh what a singer. So many great memories. Whoever is Pastoring the church today.. .please don't forget the teachings of Elder James Chalk.. Because of the ministry the Lord gave him, as an Evangelist, I am determined to continue the work as I reach out for lost souls. Remembering that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday (1973), today (2019) and forever. I miss all of you!”
