“I go to a lot of coffee shops in a lot of towns. My home town has dozens of coffee shops where you can get craft coffee, roasted in-house, the whole metal/wood/succulent vibe, etc. I have been to many small towns and been disappointed. This shop not only lived up to all my hopes, but exceeded them. It was a delightful refuge in a tumultuous world. The chairs were super comfy, I felt very welcome and invited to stay a while. The music was at a perfect volume. The coffee was amazing. Very impressive overall.”

“Friendly employees and very helpful. They have all the supplies you may need in a pinch, but dont want to drive far to get them. I pick up a paper and lottery tickets on occassion. They do NOT have a public restroom, but I use them as a down the road quick and easy convenience store so I don't really care. Great little place.”

“This is by far the most wonderful restaurant in the area! My husband and I drive 45 minutes from South Bend to eat here on Sunday’s and it is always full of people excited to get another taste of this awesome menu! To start, the food is wonderful; fresh, delicious and well priced for what you get! Louisa’s has such a sweet and homey atmosphere and the owner is constantly walking around checking on folks to make sure everyone is happy and taken care of. The wait staff is kind and courteous. The baked goods are to die for! The donuts are the best I’ve ever had and we always find other treats we can’t get enough of! Any reviewers that gave less than 5 stars must have been in a bad mood when they made their trip to Louisa’s. I’ve witnessed the owner kindly and apologetically comp a couple’s meal for a long wait during a busy time. She is so sweet and I am so thankful Louisa’s isn’t too far from home! What Michigan treasure!”

The order when you come in, self serve coffee, utensils, etc... is a little unusual for your typical roadside cafe/diner, but the staff is very helpful & friendly and they will provide you with assistance. “Beautiful, high end grocery store along the red arrow highway in lake country. I didn't buy any of the groceries but definitely ogled then. The store is beautiful and the food and beverage menus are compelling. We were meeting the person who roasts their coffee and enjoyed a decaf Americano during our visit”

“Beautiful little bake shop. Tried a Raspberry Frangipane Tart, black currant doughnut, and a spinach and feta quiche. Also, a cortado made with oat milk. Everything was incredible. They've got a very skilled baker. Everything was perfect. The black currant iced tea was also perfectly fragrant and lightly sweetened to perfection. I wish this was my local neighborhood bake shop!”
