Parts of it are hilly, but some of the views are spectacular. The trails are well marked and maintained. The entrance is Crane Beach. We'll be back.”

Daniel Boone Park

Address: Ipswich, MA 01938, USA

“Not exactly sure why you would combine a park and a Cemetary under one title here other than their proximity to the Parks & Cemetary department. Regardless, both exceptionally well maintained, short of some mindless graffiti. Skating in season. Don't miss short walk to Dow Park and the tick research forrest path.”

Echo and Elizabeth How Reservation

Address: Linebrook Rd, Ipswich, MA 01938, USA

Park

“Firstly, kudos for someone plowing the parking lot at Echo. It should be noted however that there are not two parking options as indicated on the trail map [at least not in winter]. Entering the echo property is sub optimal as you cannot escape the feeling that you're traipsing through local backyards [see Turkey Hill]. The main trail takes you through some exceptional old growth forest, but the featured swamp is thickly settled with homes and appears bereft of beaver.”

Linebrook Woods Conservation Area

Address: 275 Linebrook Rd, Ipswich, MA 01938, USA

Park

“Great time”

Ball Fields

Address: Ipswich, MA 01938, USA

Park

Turkey Hill Conservation Area

Address: Pineswamp Rd, Ipswich, MA 01938, USA

Park

“A tad thickly settled at the outset you may feel like you're sneaking thru someone's backyard. Perfectly manicured yards quickly give way to some fairly gnarly steeps for Ipswich. Purported to be the highest undeveloped terrain in the 356, this former pasture has some serious trees. "Hilltop" lake alone is worth the trek. The thorns are starting to encroach on the path in some locations and I didn't see any turkeys, but still two thumbs up.”

Nichols Field

Address: 60 Labor in Vain Rd, Ipswich, MA 01938, USA

Park

“beautiful walk around the field with beautiful views of the estuary and Updike cabin hidden in the woods down by the water. Unfortunately many people walk the dogs there and do not pick up the residue so beware where you step on my circular path on this 10 or so acres I counted over hundred and twenty different piles of dog poop. They're is a beautiful said of trees in the middle of the field at look like they go back away is and are beautiful against the backdrop of the Estuary”

Bradley Field

Address: Labor in Vain Rd, Ipswich, MA 01938, USA

Willowdale State Forest

“Great place to get lost for a day. Lots of space, lots of trails. Great for biking or walking. Access from Linebrook road(near Marini Farm) or Topsfield road(near Bradley Palmer) is easy. Great in all seasons. Little muddy in parts in the spring.”
