The Inn At Babson Court

Address: 55 Western Ave, Gloucester, MA 01930, USA

Lodging

“My husband and I stayed at the Inn at Babson Court several times when we would come visit my in-laws, who lived in Gloucester and owned a jewelry business. We always loved staying there and especially loved the room with the loft, where our daughter would play. Highly recommend, the muffin bunny was always a delight! Sadly my in laws passed, so we haven’t been to visit since 2010. Hoping to come stay again soon.”

Harborview Inn

Address: 71 Western Ave, Gloucester, MA 01930, USA

Lodging

“Our stay at the Harborview Inn was incredible. John was such an incredible gracious and thoughtful host. Truly - he is there for anything you may need. The BnB itself was beautifully maintained and in an absolutely picturesque New England seaside location. Our room had a view directly over the Harbor - the sunrises were exceptional. There is a little beach about a minute walk away, downtown Gloucester is an easy walk as well. Absolutely choose Harborview Inn instead of those larger hotels - John will be sure to take great care of you.”

Cape Ann Motor Inn

Address: 33 Rockport Rd, Gloucester, MA 01930, USA

“I'd give Cape Ann Motor Inn 5 stars because of the location right on Long Beach..... Beautiful views, regular hotel rooms, but with a porch overlooking the Ocean.... Older Inn with cozy feel in reception area/living room..... Includes Continental Breakfast..... Although I didn't stay there, the owner seemed very nice helpful with decent rates..... But I did enjoy the beach in the late afternoon, sunset and fireworks on Long Beach - just fabulous!”

“THE BEST BEACH!!! Soft sand, no rocks or seaweed. SO CLEAN!!! Its huge, so you aren't sitting on top of each other. Nice big waves for body surfing, paddle boarding, boogie boarding and fun. Great place for kids. No public restrooms on the beach, but there is a parking area on the left hand side that has restrooms and and outdoor showers. You will not regret visiting. Memories are made at this beach for sure!!”

Blue Shutters Beachside Inn

Address: 1 Nautilus Rd, Gloucester, MA 01930, USA

Lodging

“This place is so cool. This is the second time my family has stayed here, and we are anticipating booking for a third time. Tony was, and is, a solid host and guy. My wife and I are up here now in December for a mini getaway during the Christmas season. The area is beautiful this time of year, and being able to see the sunrise from our room is amazing. Take the time to come here and stay, especially this time of year. Rooms are a bit dated, but adds to the charm. The little touches such as candy and cookies everywhere, and a christmas tree really made the trip.”

Captain's Lodge Motel

Address: 237 Eastern Ave, Gloucester, MA 01930, USA

“Good value: If you're looking for a 5 Star mainstream hotel don't expect to find it here. This is an old business with a nice nostalgic feel. The room we had was clean and smelled nice. They are slowly renovating the place and their service is excellent. I would stay here again especially if I was looking for a bargain and some old school feel.”

Atlantis Oceanfront Inn Hotel In Gloucester, MA

Address: 125 Atlantic Rd, Gloucester, MA 01930, USA

Lodging Restaurant

“I had stayed at the Atlantis a few years a go and loved it. I grew up in Gloucester and live in MD now. My husband is almost 80 and hasn't travelled anywhere in 10 years, but wanted to see my hometown. I managed to book a wonderful mid-level room with ocean view and we came up Oct. 9, 2019, and left on Oct. 12. The room was perfect, as was the view. We have always loved the wonderful Atlantis Cafe for breakfast. Food and service are always excellent. But the staff at the front desk were nothing short of awesome! Every single person. They went out of their way to recommend good places to eat, print out our boarding pass, get us good directions to the airport. They helped graciously and kindly with everything we asked. And they managed to stage a Nor'easter for us to boot. My husband was impressed with the size of the waves across the street. EXCELLENT JOB, ATLANTIS! We will definitely be back! And thank you.”

Ocean House Hotel at Bass Rocks

Address: 107 Atlantic Rd, Gloucester, MA 01930, USA

Lodging

“I had an amazing stay at this quaint beautiful hotel in Gloucester, Massachusetts. It is an incredible hotel. During the spring, the pool was closed, but the views are just as incredible. Everything about the hotel is incredible. The history is rich and you can find out more information on their website. The rooms were renovated and look fantastic. The breakfast is delicious and is served in the Old Home lobby. The big suite that you see on their website is inside the actual old house that is part of the hotel. They have Bikes you can’t take for a nice scenic bike ride. I really recommend doing that! There is an awesome beach down the road that you can bike to and walk at. It is the perfect distance from the downtown of Gloucester. You feel secluded in your room and feel like you have so much privacy. I woke up one morning and watched the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean and it was surreal. The water crashing upon the rocks is just enough to relax and smooth you, without being overwhelming. This is, all in all, quite the hotel to spend a couple days at to getaway or with you family! Enjoy your stay!”

Gloucester By the Sea Motel

Address: 85 Atlantic Rd, Gloucester, MA 01930, USA

Lodging

“Just visited and priced out, didn't stay..... Absolutely beautiful location across from Bass Rock Beach, but I was looking for a place to walk right onto the beach..... Although outstanding views, you would still have to drive or bicycle down to Good Harbor Beach..... I'll bet it's beautiful in the off season when you can't swim in the ocean anyway, but enjoy the view and boulders on the beach..... Nice pool property looks all renovated, and easy access for disabled.... Beautiful location!”

Bob is very engaging with all visitors who stay at Beauport. I would however schedule your stay during the week as the hotels main venue is accommodating weekend weddings. Esther & Kevin”

Cape Ann's Marina Resort

Lodging Restaurant

“This location is a stones throw away from the water. There is a popular busy bar on the first floor that's open till late. Many boats are coming in to get gas or diesel. There's a tent pavilion usually hosting large celebrations into the night . Docked in the marina are charter boats along with the Wicked Tuna boys. If your not getting on a fishing boat in the morning and looking for a quiet night it might not be for you. That rooms are clean. There's an amazing hole in the wall restaurant across the street. If you go don't miss it.”

Castle Manor Inn

Address: 141 Essex Ave, Gloucester, MA 01930, USA

Lodging

“My soul sisters and I stayed a night in the family suite at the Castle Manor Inn and were completely charmed by every exquisite detail. The period decorations and art, the antique furniture, the beautiful grounds where flowers bloomed everywhere we looked. Our New England road trip included a day of exploring Gloucester, and this lovely establishment was a perfect landing spot for us - not too far from the old port area but not in the midst of the traffic. Our only concern was the mattresses; they have seen better days. But we were all exhausted and slept well despite the beds' wear, so this didn't turn out to be an issue for us after all. The continental breakfast was free and plentiful, and the coffee was excellent. I definitely recommend staying here.”

Wingaersheek Inn & Motel

Address: 46 Concord St, Gloucester, MA 01930, USA

Lodging

“Nice local motel with large, cutely-decorated rooms and sometimes squeaky beds. The bathroom that we had was setup like one that you'd find in any local home, and we had a small back deck & a skylight in our room. Quiet & reasonably-priced during off-season with a friendly staff. Centrally-located between Gloucester & Salem on Cape Ann. I would return here.”
