Peter’s is still the best lunch counter in MD. If you need anything, Ned knows a guy. He treats customers like family. And he knows how to make my eggs just right; no other diner can match him.

I love their food so much. People rave about the cheesesteaks and I know they’re amazing but I absolutely crave their bacon cheeseburgers. I could eat one every day and that’s no lie! Ned and his family are top-notch people and his staff are awesome too. It’s a shame that I don’t live in Bethesda anymore because I was in almost every day. I’ll be in soon, since Rockville isn’t that far. Pete’s is the best!

Dropped-in here on a Saturday afternoon for the first time and got a steak and cheese sub. It was AWESOME! Added some extra meat and made it a super sub, totally worth it. What I liked as much as the food was that the guys behind the counter were friendly, salt of the earth folks which I found refreshing. Not to mention, my order was ready less than two minutes after placing it. They know what they are doing and they do it very well. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot.

Excellent food and value for price. This is a wonderful counter restaurant that makes really good food to order. Have tried a couple of things and each time has been great. The packaging to go is geared to maintain the freshness and taste. Staff is friendly and quick to acknowledge people to quickly get you in and out. High demand items may run out at times. It’s worth a re-visit and to support this local business.
