“There are so many parts to Gunpowder Falls State Park but this was my first time to the beach area. Even though it was a fall day being on the beach was perfect. There was so much wildlife to enjoy including two bald eagles playing in the air. There are so many trails and areas to hike! I loved the honor code for paying the $3 entrance fee into the park. All the money goes back into up keeping the park!!! It’s well worth the price and just a great place to go to enjoy nature and the great outdoors.”

“There are so many great activities for visitors of all ages - fun and learning all in one place! You can walk the trails and catch the tiny frogs (toads?) jumping around your feet, explore the visitor's center and say hello to Frankie the duck (who will do a few tricks for you if the mood suits her!), or just talk to one of the employees about any of the many awesome exhibits in the center! The best part is that they're open year-round!”

“Only bad part is its closed during the weekends. But other then that its a great peace place to go to. Its got a mini park for kids and a hiking trail as well. Tables to sit at and bathrooms that are never open. Its nice place oh and there a spot a pot in the parking lot... You gotta go you gotta go. Lol but its nice no trash at all hope to keep it that way tho too.”

“If you can get there, this place is perfect. Therein lies the charm. I highly recommend packing in overnight via kayak or canoe! Waking up for a sunrise swim is a delightful experience. The sandy point is perfect for beachside reading. BRING BUG SPRAY. The interior of the island is a swamp and those bugs come out at night in droves.”

“Beautiful hidden gem! I can’t believe I didn’t know about it before then!! It’s so much walking areas for exercise and I hear there is a beach area for the summer! It’s definitely some place I want to explore more when the weather is warm. The sunset over the water was beautiful. Seems like a nice romantic place to take a walk.”
