“We had to have a fuel pump replaced in a Dodge Dually. This was not an easy job as we also had an extra fuel tank installed plus a heavy fifth wheel hitch in the back. The owner was very kind and dropped us back at our camper and picked us up when done. We expected high cost in this tourist town but were not charged tourist fees. Great job. We appreciate all the hard work!]”

“First rate company. Always on top of making sure you are happy with your stay at their properties. Grand isle doesn't look like much but it's a gem of a place. A slice of heaven for fishing crabbing shrimping. Never know what bounty she will provide each year. If crabs arent prevalent then you will reap benefits of fishing. If there a problem at your camp, which doesn't happen often, then a simple call to Island Reality will get it resolved quickly. They are very friendly and knowledgable. But then most people on the island are. Would give 10 stars if possible”

“If your looking for a weekend stay or weekly stay I highly recommend this place. We come to the island 2 times a year and every chance we get in-between. This was our first stay here. “The mechanic was SUPER nice when I called. He was filled for that day but still told me to go in the afternoon to at least check out to see what was wrong with my car. We got there, left the car with him and headed for the beach while he checked things out. He let us use his beach access which was very thoughtful. He was able to diagnose the issue and suggested a tire shop not on the mainland to use. He insisted to not even be paid for his time which was VERY nice of him. I would recommend him ANY DAY and ANY issue to be fixed or diagnosed!”

If you want to “camp” on concrete, this isn’t for you, but if sand, surf, flip flops and shorts on a South Louisiana fishing island is your thing, you must stay at Sarah’s. Snowbird? Yes! Families? “The place is very yummy! Like, super yummy! The name does it justice! I had a very delicious sandwich made with fajita chicken. It was incredible! My friend had a wrap! We also ordered duck bites as an appetizer. Pretty tasty! They also have a great selection of flavored coffees. The only reason this wasn't a 5 star review is that they were not taking any precautions for Covid-19. Even stranger still is that the entire town (all places we've seen) behaves as if there isn't a virus. We were glad we ate here and we wouldn't have if it had been more crowded. I wish more people would protect others and do the right thing!”

“We enjoyed our stay here. The best RV spot on the Island in our opinion. The host is super nice and the property is well maintained. The common area is awesome, to grill, play games or just hang out on the porch swing is ideal. Not to mention the beach is just across the street. Grand Isle is still rebuilding after hurricane Ida, however there are restaurants and grocery stores open to get what you need. The new marina is also open. Nice deck bar opened on the weekends.”

“This is a great place to stop on your way into town. The people who work here are friendly and very knowledgeable about the sights to see and places to visit here in Grand Isle. There is also the beautiful butterfly dome in the property. You can walk through there an be amazed! All that you could possibly need to know about fishing charters and Marinas is readily available at the Port Commission. If you're looking for a rental, they have booklets and fliers from all of the Realtors on the Island. Whatever questions you may have about Grand Isle, they can help you with or they will direct you to the person who can!”

“The only thing bad about Sharkys is having to drop off the cart when your vacation is up. Absolutely everything from the pick up to return could not have been more easier. Mr Sharky is an awesome guy and between him and his wife they can provide the most value for your buck. I highly recommend them. Thank you, oh yea, call them and ask about camp/cart bundle. Wish we had called them sooner.”

“This camp is perfect and affordable for all your family needs and in a great location. It’s across the road from the beach with easy access to the beach. It’s close to stores and snowball stand. The screened in area is really nice. The camp is clean and very roomy. The camp owner is very responsive and professional. He did everything to please his customers. I gave five stars because it’s really nice and a bargain. My only complaints would be as another person stated is the A/C at 74 is a little warm for me and took a little while to cool at night and the wagon shown in the picture is locked so I had to carry more to beach than I wanted. Like I said no real complaints because it’s great and I understand locking personal belongings so it’s there and in working order when you need it yourself. All in all you won’t find better deal for the size, and extras this camp offers. Thanks Camp Laid Back we enjoyed our stay back in June.”
