“Visited shortly after moving to TN from Alaska. I was coming back from Michigan one weekend and stopped at this gas station for food and to use the restroom. I remember turning around and thinking, “Wow, it’s the Kentucky Speedway!” as I got out of my car. A nice man saw my AK license plate and asked why the heck I was in KY. Then he said, “Welcome to Kentucky.” It was a pleasant interaction and gave me the impression that Southerns were friendly. Oh, and the fried chicken and mozzarella sticks were delicious!!! I enjoyed the souvenirs as well.”
