“This is a lovely place to walk (or run). There is also a mountain biking trail. There are a variety of features along the trail such as statues of bison at the top of the Ad astera ascent where you can see the city of Topeka on the horizon, a replica cabin of the one the founders of Topeka spent a cold winter in until it burned, a tree fort you can climb up into, a pond with a dock, and a large tire swing. If I had grandkids I would definitely bring them. My husband and I visited in March when the grasses were brown. It was still beautiful, but I'd love to go back in spring or early summer.”
