Over the past ten months, it has become my home away from home and I have had nothing but great experiences with all of the wonderful people who work there. Megan and Jill at the front desks are so incredibly sweet, welcoming and caring. Lauren is my Young Adult group leader and I truly look forward to seeing her and learning from her every week. Shannon has made waking up on Saturday mornings for the past ten months worthwhile with her creative, thought-provoking art therapy sessions. Dr. Trueblood is thorough and has found a combination of medicine that works well for me. Lastly, but most importantly, seeing Mara every week for my individual appointment has been an absolute blessing. She is caring, kind, relatable and has taught me so many skills to help me become a better person. I feel like I have my own personal team of cheerleaders at the Lilac Center and there’s nothing better than that when you’re going through rough times.”
