Johnson County Library - Lenexa City Center

We love this library and the park, fountain and eating area next door.
Easy parking although a bit difficult/long walks on crutches/cane. Could be more handicapped accessible.

So much better than the Olathe ones! They switched me over since the fees are better and assisted me in calling the Olathe library about my fees that happened during Covid. They got my boyfriend his first time library card and the ladies at the front treated us with respect, kindness and dignity. You can tell they strive to offer the best customer service and that it’s a library that’s ACTUALLY for the public and not for screwing citizens out of money with fees due to “resources” when most Olathe libraries literally have CAFES inside. You aren’t worried about resources when there’s a cafe inside… this library even has a free art and maker studio with wood printing and 3D work. This library is nice and neat and will be my MAIN branch. It is the BEST one in the metro area by FAR! I really recommend this if you are elderly, disabled or a minority they make sure to treat you with respect like a regular human and will even chat with you. Very kind nice staff and ladies!

I love this library! Excellent areas to study, sound proof rooms for meetings, and the staff is always super helpful.

A peaceful place to spend your weekend afternoons. The librarians are really nice and helpful. The surrounding is kept clean and the workstations/work pods are great add-ons. I loved the Drive-thru process, app to hold books and express check outs.

One of the best libraries I’ve ever been in. Conference rooms, laptops, super cute and cozy work stations. Really well designed and thoughtfully planned. Fantastic children’s area on the second floor. Super impressed!
