I attend Coesse Elementary, Northern Heights Elementary, Indian Springs Middle School and Columbia City High School, Class of 2012! “I was looking up the telephone number for Coesse Elementary School when I noticed a two-star rating. Upon further investigation, I learned the only (other) reviewer had also rated 39 other area schools with the same two-star rating. One person, regardless of their role in the community, should not have enough intimate experience to appropriately rate over three dozen area schools. The review of Coesse Elementary School was not accurate. I decided to take the time to post my own summary acquired through actual experience. The teachers, staff, and administration are wonderful. The students consistently score very high on standardized testing and enjoy smaller class sizes with many tenured teachers. Although the building itself is older, it is well maintained. My children are happy at the school and feel they have a good relationship with teachers, staff, and classmates. I work in social services and visit a number of schools on a regular basis but still do not feel I have enough experience with each one to adequately rate them. I do know Coesse Elementary School well enough and my experience with the school has been great.”
