“LOVE Downey Co-op! Co-op has a little bit of a learning curve for parents because it involves the parent a lot more than conventional preschool, but when it comes to what's best for your kids, it's a no-brainer choice! We've sent both our sons to Downey Co-Operative Preschool. Our first son attended in 2015, and we currently have a kiddo enrolled. The teachers are kind, understanding, caring, and knowledgeable. They taught me so much about how to help my children learn and grow and self-regulate behavior in a peaceful, calm, kind way. While leaving mommy to head to class was no problem at all for my oldest, my youngest had more trepidation in the beginning. Mrs. Egan was wonderfully kind and reassuring and made that transition so easy. My youngest soon found it easier and easier to leave me at the door and head for his favorite activities! My kids spent their days in the classroom doing what all kids need to do more of- play! With lots of "old-school" favorite toys and activities that offer open ended and creative play, my kids quickly found their favorite things to do. They got their first experiences with painting at an easel (a favorite for both) and exploring different textures at the sensory table. They learned how to follow directions from a teacher, follow a classroom routine, drink from a regular cup, wash their hands by themselves, recognize their names, cut with scissors, develop fine motor skills, and gave them great social skills! I couldn't recommend Downey Co-Op enough.”

“My daughters have both had excellent experiences at Eastridge. The principal is very involved and passionate about education. She knows each student. If I have ever had questions or concerns, she has made time I to address them. The teachers have been extremely encouraging. We have had 7 different teachers so far. One was good. The rest were absolutely outstanding (like the kind of teacher you have once in a lifetime). I have spent several days in the classrooms with my girls and I was amazed at the energy and excitement the teachers put into their lessons. The support staff is outstanding. When they found out my husband was hospitalized, they offered to watch our children to help out on their own time. I appreciate Eastridge.”

“Personally, I believe that this was one of the best schools in the district. Although they don't have a pool or a fancy auditorium like the other two schools, they have made improvements, and despite our high poverty rating and all of the "bad kids" at this school, we excelled test wise, top of the district. I actually believe that I learned more at stony brook as opposed to the time I spent at Creston”

“Not an obvious troll- a teacher squirted her vaginal fluids on my desk and told me to lap it up because I didn't do her homework. A girl sent a nude to the principal to get all A's on her report card, and a wild dog broke inside the school and killed 32 students while the rest were at a pep rally. Great School!”
