“The weekly Thursday fair was really nice! The children attending loved the bouncy gyms! The craft booths offered interesting items for sale. The food booths and trucks also offered refreshing foods and beverages, at reasonable prices. For those who are health conscious, they have pedal floating bikes, that are $5.00, for every 15 minutes on the water. There was an excellent live band playing at the pavillion, and many neighbors were out on the lawn relaxing in chairs, and on blankets enjoying the free entertainment. Later in the evening, a movie was shown. I was impressed by this Hobart Parks Department Neighborhood Festival. I plan to attend more before the summer winds down!”

“One of the nicest cleanest park areas you will find around town. Very well kept and lots of space for an outing of any sort. The fishing is decent and the lake freezes over nicely and definitely provides some scenery for pictures during the winter months.”

“Really nice park. Renovations are almost complete. Frequented daily by locals walking their dogs (saw a lady walking a skunk, once!), fishing, watching their kids enjoy the play-area, picnicking, walking, jogging, taking yoga classes, and enjoying the swinging park benches. Located adjacent to the park, is the public library. Smallish, indoor banquette area that overlooks the lake can be reserved for private events. Covered outdoor area is also available for reserve. Local residents pay reduced deposit fee.”

“The lake is small, but that keeps the water warm! Went on a Thursday evening and there were probably a dozen groups of people- tanning, swimming, fishing, kayaking, walking their dogs. We tested our new inflatable boat and had a good time. Wasn't sure if boats are allowed there but there was a police officer driving around and monitoring the area and he didn't say anything to us on the water. The shore is nice and beachy for swimming and wading.”
