The driver Gerald? Stevens (no relation) kept us updated during the process and was very helpful in getting it properly placed on our lot. David Schwalm was my contact at Star Fleet. “It is scary to entrust a family heirloom, especially a Steinway built in 1899, to be restored. Chupp’s was very patient with me, as I checked references and asked lots of poignant questions. As a professional pianist, I wanted a great instrument that could be used, not a show piece. Chupp’s far exceeded my expectations. The finish was restored to its original mahogany, which is stunning. More importantly, the instrument itself was restored to play and sound like it did when it was first built in 1899. It is a joy to play. They even provided documentation for insurance coverage. I highly recommend Chupp’s, if you have a Steinway that needs restoration. Here are photos of the finished product.”
