“Its a nice place but completely isolated place. Its good for living there for one or two days. But if you want to stay there for longer then you will go mad. You are almost handicapped without a car. Dorm rooms are small a nice looking. There are kitchen utensils, fridge etc. So you can cook food if you want. Overall a nice place for a short trip.”

“Update: I left my honest rating. That star that was removed was because of the disciplinary system abd Joe's not trying to resolve the problem effectively. If an employee can learn from an experience, destroying what could be fixed is just illogical and immoral, especially since it involves a life. If you can see this, I liked the place, certainty. But I believe I was sentenced guilty even before getting a proper hearing. Being disciplined in front of several unrelated people plus being told to leave without speaking more than one sentence, it left me feeling unfairly treated. I admitted my wrong, I even admit I deserved a write up or something else of the sort. I owned up, and even then, Joe totally ignored it and everything else. He didn't care, I could tell he made up his mind before trying to resolve anything. Id love to come back, but I doubt Joe would accept. His way of handling it left a bad taste”

“What a fantastic place! Not just a magnificent garden and golf course, but also the location of the 1st Infantry Division Museum and display of armored vehicles. The museum in extremely well presented, with VR experiences of Soldiers and battle. There are interesting community events such as a debate among local college forensics teams. Thanks to the McCormick family for this awesome place!”

“Great location. Personable friendly staff. Free laundry is a huge plus for long term stays. Comfortable and quiet rooms. Not a lot of Riff raff, it is mostly business travelers and THAT is a huge plus! Safe area. Nice kitchen with full size fridge and freezer. Gas grills outside. Pet friendly!! Very nice time staying here and met some great friends during our stay. More like a condominium/Apt feel than a hotel feeling. Friendly folks looking out for one another with vehicles as well. Felt very comfortable staying here. Will seek out Candlewood wherever we travel.”
