“Hudson Cemetery is a small, old, lovingly-tended burial ground near Malta, Illinois. The family names of those buried here include Hudson, White, Staub, and Holderness, though I haven't been able to read all of the markers. It is approached along a walnut-lined lane planted much more recently than the last interment, which may well have been over a century ago. Most of the markers are marble, and as is frequently the case with old marble tombstones, many are in a rough condition due to the elements. Two of the more-recent burials have even been replaced by modern granite markers. Blessings to those who honor this place hallowed to the memory of those buried here.”

“Beautiful landscape. My close friend and I walked hours through it, looking at graves of people long forgotten, and recently deceased alike. The pet area had me choked up. It's a lovely area and seems like a lovely place to have a loved one buried.”
