“Not major bullying problems I'm aware of. The teachers are very supportive and friendly. My most influencial teachers have been Mrs. Nelson, Mr Liechty, and Mr. Wimber. The english teachers seem fairly left-wing, but they don't force their beliefs on the students like big city schools. The only exception to that rule would be Mrs. VB-T. Of course, lots of lunches are 'school quality', but that's really my only complaint. They don't have a football team, which didn't bother me since I didn't play sports. Their teams have won lots of awards in the last few years, though. If you're going to send your kids there, make sure you get them into IVVC, which was my favorite part of the day for the years I had it.”

During this time I have had nothing but great service at affordable prices. Last week (Feb 2016) I was visiting a friend in Sandwich and I had a brake lock up. I managed to limp into Prestige Auto Repair at 4:50 on a Friday night. (Ten minutes from closing) Jim jumped on my repair, ordered the parts minutes before the delivery service closed. He had me back on the road in a little over an hour and a half at the same affordable prices I have experienced before. “Kay's Bakery is absolutely a reason to go to Somonauk. She makes everything from scratch --- you can see the kitchen in action right from the donut case! My favorites: maple bacon long johns (when I'm lucky enough to snag one), GIANT cookie dough brownies, GIANT cinnamon rolls (don't tell anyone I said they rival my mom's), and cranberry raisin power scones. We don't live anywhere near but still find excuses to 'just pass through'. You should, too.”

“I loved this place! My sisters and I came here for matching tattoos about a month ago. I messaged the parlor ahead of time letting him know what we wanted and when we were coming- when we walked in, he already had our design ready for us to look at. We also got a discount for all getting the same thing on the same day. Also, our artist was extremely patient with us, especially as my one sister had never gotten a tattoo before. He also did a great job! I will definitely be coming here again!”
