Upon meeting with Tyra in person to discuss the arrangements, my family felt so comfortable and well taken care of. Tyra and her team were flexible in including specific set-ups we wanted for my moms service, and because of them we were truly able to have the celebration of my mom that we needed. I can honestly say that the funeral home experience was one of the brighter spots of that whole difficult whirlwind of a week. Matz made me feel like me and my family were truly supported. “The policy of uniform, flush-to-ground headstones is wonderful. Having visited family plots at Westlawn to grieve...the crowded headstones are a distraction....almost like visiting someone in jail. The open space at Shalom allows one to pray and grieve at a family member's plot...without so much distraction. Don't know who pioneered this policy, but thank you.”

From the recipe cards, family tree memory card, bookmarks, video photo collage and cocktails, everything was flawless. The dignity, professionalism and compassion shown by you and your entire staff were beyond expectation. There were no details missed and the entire experience was as pleasant as it could be under the circumstances. Considering the complexity of the planning and the varying personalities and dynamics of our family, not to mention the grief and emotions that resulted, you and your staff always had the correct message to convey and suggestion and participation was noted and appreciated.
