“I’ve had plantar fasciitus in both feet for a long while now. I was refered to Dr. Zappa about a year ago. Nice guy, very cordial, takes his time with you, answers questions and not in a doctor sort of way (basically he makes sense). After going thru numerous home remedies(insoles, cushions, pads, night splints, night boots, etc etc), going to thearpy, getting shots; it was time to have surgery. I think i was at the point of getting the shots for the pain when I met Zappa. The shots seems to be a tempory fix and I didn’t want to go back just to keep getting shots in my foot. At this point Zappa mentioned surgery on my left foot because at the time that was giving me the most pain. Zappa talked me thru what would happen before, during and after surgery. I decided to go ahead and do the surgery. That was in April of 2018. My healing process took a little while. A week or two to come out of the boot and to get stitches out and about a month or two from complete recovery. I was able to walk after surgery (just carefully though). So as my left foot was feeling better, sometime in October my right foot started really acting up. I went back to Zappa and told him I wanted surgery for my right instead of going thru the process of therapy and shots, plus my insurance was acting a fool. I wasn’t able to have surgery on my right foot until January 2019 so I did get a shot. Today is Feb. 17, 2019. I’m doing pretty good. Zappa also explained that the healing time differs between patients. I still feel a little pain but know where like before and I’m still healing so. To sum it up. I trust Dr. Zappa and would refer anyone to him. Oh and the office visit wait is never long. The staff is really nice, especially the receptionist Irma.”

“I rented an apartment from Bob for my senior year at UIC. Never had any problems. I took care of the rent, Bob and Larry took care of any issues I had with the apartment. The apartment itself was more or less what I'd expect for a Chicago college apartment, not without its flaws, but also with a lot of charm. I got my own parking space and the location of my building was incredible. Overall a positive renting experience.”

“Was on a date and was in the mood for some BBQ on a cold day and this place was recommended after doing a google search. The place was empty but we decided to give it a try and glad we did! The rib tips, greens, smoked chicken, and corn pudding were amazing. The mac and cheese lacked flavor and was undercooked. Even a little salt and pepper didn't help it so will skip that next time. The hot links were ok...seemed they could have been smoked/cooked longer. The lemonade was delicious. Sam assisted us and was so friendly and kind and even let us sample the brisket per our request which we will definitely order next time. The cook came out and let us sample the pork hush puppies which was amazing. The brisket was tender, juicy and flavorful. This place is a must try if you're in the area and looking for some good BBQ. It's worth it. We will be going back!!!”

“Cozy neighborhood cafe. Delicious homemade biscuits yummy menu with specials. I had the chicken biscuit breakfast sandwich and a piece of French toast. Loved both. At our table we also had the protein scramble which I was told will become the usual; and the cinnamon roll pancakes. I got to try them and I would definitely order for dessert ;) Thanks Sweet Maple! “This place is pretty awesome. I've been wanting to go since I moved to the neighborhood, but never made it, due to my old schedule. Then, when my mom came to visit, she was exploring Taylor Street and wandered in. She made friends with the people here, and was telling all about how great this place is. Finally, I went with my Italian friend who was visiting, and we really enjoyed this place. The baked goods are pretty traditional, and the taste and baking is stupendous. I've been back to visit, and still a great experience. The people here really are cool.”
