Park

“The cabana we were in had been remodeled and was very nice. We had our morning coffee out on my deck every morning and enjoyed watching the beautiful waves and listening to the ocean. We saw a lot of sea turtles swimming right out front and a few Dolphins. The water was wonderful to swim in and my husband almost ran into a turtle. The beach sand is fine and deep and warm, and you've got a million dollar view of my beach and ocean. The people are friendly too.”

“We loved our dolphin tour! Went in the afternoon and it was only slightly more money then the other massive boats and it was so nice to just be on a small personal tour. We found a spotted dolphin pod and got to put on snorkel gear to hop in with the dolphins for a couple minutes and it was magical. We also went to a turtle cleaning spot and it was so fun to snorkel with the turtles! The lunch was delicious and healthy and the crew was really knowledgeable and took fun photos of us! Overall an amazing experience and I with I had taken more photos!”

Pu'u Manamana Hike

Address: Koolauloa, Kaneohe, HI 96744, USA

Park

“People have fallen and died on this hike. It is challenging and very dangerous therefore only experienced hikers should attempt. The trail starts at the same spot as the crouching lion hike but instead of heading towards the crouching lion, continue heading up. Going up is very steep. The path along the ridge drops off to either side and is not for the faint of heart. At the top of the ridge the path becomes very muddy and remains so as you begin your decent. The trail eventually takes you into an old Mormon cemetery and out on to Trout Farm Road.”

Bill Balfour Jr. Waipahū District Park

Address: 94-230 Paiwa St, Waipahu, HI 96797, USA

Park

“Beautiful park, great hiking, well marked paths and fantastic ocean views”

ʻAiea Loop Trailhead

Address: 99-1849 Aiea Heights Dr, Aiea, HI 96701, USA

Park

“Mostly shaded hike due to trees throughout trail. Hike took approximately 3 hours for the entire loop. Hike was moderately easy, just a bit long. Great views along the way. Also tons of strawberry guava plants. Munch on a few along the hike. To start: Drive all the way to the top parking lot/bathroom to begin loop. End of loop: End will bring you out by middle level parking lot/bathroom. Then walk back up to parking spot. Wear appropriate hiking shoes in the case it gets muddy. The hike has lots of shade from trees which takes the trail longer to dry after a rain. We had opportunity to catch a rainbow right at the peak of the hike. We found several great walking sticks. Placed them at the start of the hike. First come first serve.”

Kapolei Community Park

Address: 91-1049 Kamaaha Loop, Kapolei, HI 96707, USA

Park

“This is a beautiful community park - but locals litter like is Bangkok - shame on that, every weekend i see beer bottles and trash & community workers cleaning after these pigs”

Kaʻena Point Trail

Address: Farrington Hwy, Waialua, HI 96791, USA

Park

“The hike in from the north side was absolutely beautiful. The service road path is a bit rough and can be muddy at times but seems to be a bit shorter than the beach path. The beach path takes you along the coastline and ocean front and is stunningly beautiful. Try looking back towards the north shore for beautiful views of the north shore coast. Stunning!! And the view from the pill box at the point is also stunning, with 360% views of the Waianae mountains and coastline and the mountains along the north side path and the ocean. It doesn't get any better than that! It's like being in another world, so unlike the rest of Oahu with it's urban areas, noise, cars, etc. 100% recommended for those who can easily hike the 5+ miles round trip safely.”

I’ve brought visiting friends here and they love the quiet and wonderful beach.”

Valley of the Temples Memorial Park, Cemetery, Cremation, Funeral

Address: 47-200 Kahekili Hwy, Kaneohe, HI 96744, USA

Funeral home Cemetery Park

“This well-manicured memorial park is breathtaking! It’s worth the extra time and energy to drive around and take in the different views/perspectives of the various memorials. The Buddhist temple in the back is beautiful! Get out of the car, walk around the grounds, meditate, ring the bell, feed the koi fish and birds and watch the graceful black swan mesmerize guests. Truly. You won’t regret it; it’s good for the soul.”

Puʻuloa Beach Park

Address: 91-027 Fort Weaver Rd, Ewa Beach, HI 96706, USA

“Restroom is a hit and a miss but its okay semi clean .... 3 different showers and a changing area is helpful. Love the kid's playground so if your kid is like mine they get tired of the sand and water he plays at the playground. There is a basketball court and volley ball net which is awesome. A few table and benches 🤙Place is never too crowded on a weekday💞 hardly any shade so be prepared for lots of sun”
