“Staff at the The Retreat are very caring, they helped make the transition as easy as possible. They go above and beyond to engage the residents In the activities that they have regularly planned. We were pleasantly shocked when they told us that Mom was attending the game and puzzle events. She has never been a social person, but with their gentle, continuous invitations and loving persuasions, she is enjoying being with people. Even during Covid restrictions and quarantine, they made sure residents had stimulation, Santa even came to visit. Mom’s not one to give much praise, but she has said time and again “they make the best broccoli and cheese soup”. Mom’s been a resident in the apartments in the main building there 7 months now, and has settled in quite nicely and made some friends. We are thrilled to have found The Retreat and have been very pleased with the staff. The facility has recently been beautifully remodeled and now feels even more like home for the residents. It’s a bit of a drive for us, but definitely worth it knowing Mom is happy and well taken care of.”

“God used this program to change my life ! It's not for the faint at heart but if your ready to surrender and let God take the wheel then this is for you! I graduated in 2014 and to this day I use skills that I learned in this program ! It will build character and teach you things to carry for the rest of your life. I can't say enough abt this place God is truly changing lives here! Yes its true they send students out on work details and fundraising events to raise money but I assure you it costs a whole lot more than people may realize to keep a place,vehicles, food,gas,etc...to keep a positive environment for 25+ students housed and able to focus on God and nothing else. Men from ages 18-60 are in the program and Pastor Tim is the director and let me tell you God has anointed that man to do what he does he is such a great mentor and Christian leader it's amazing how God uses him in that place to help men with life Controlling issues it takes a special type of person to do what he does and it doesn't get any better than him I guarantee it if you don't believe what I'm saying just attend ONE of his services and watch God work you will feel the Lord's presence!!”
