“My husband had a heart attack on August 29th 2022 and I called 911 as I was doing CPR on him and I was told fire rescue was in route. Officer Hammock was the first to arrived at my home and she helped get him out of the shower and continued to administer CPR for about 10 minutes before fire rescue arrived and took over. I attempted to go into the bathroom and she held me back explaining they were using the AED and it was not safe to enter. After my husband passed she comfort me and gave me her condolences. Even though I was a reck she just let me cry and she stayed with me and explained everything that was to take place, she gave me her card and told me to call her if I needed her. She sat in her car in front of my house for a long time afterwards. Knowing that she was there gave me a sense of peace in a very difficult situation. I know that she did more than her job required and I really appreciate her and the Hampton police department.”
