“I am as old as Scott Boulevard Baptist. Tho I am a Methodist at Atlanta First United Methodist Church on Peachtree, and we have the same problems with an aging congreation. Every Sunday from the time I can remember we would come from Monroe, GA to Oakdale Rd. off of N. Decatur Rd. to visit my granddaddy that was pastor of First Methodist from 1940-1965. I saw the church every time we went by there and also stopped at Stacey's for an ice cream. I have worked in the Decatur area since 1983 and continue to pass your church frequently. It willl be a sad day when it is demolished. I want to come visit before it is gone.”
