Tellus Science Museum

This museum is beautiful! There is something here for everyone. The kids' interactive areas are updated every so often, so it doesn't get old. We love the fossil digging and gem mining. We learned about dinosaurs, how bicycles work, earthquakes, and much more ! We packed a lunch and ate under a large covered area with picnic tables and restrooms before we went in. I definitely recommend taking advantage of this area as well.

We did two planetarium shows , They were really good. Did not really enjoy the cafeteria, thought they would serve fresh and hot real food, but it was only sandwiches and little snacks such as vending machine material. Had a excellent experience digging for fossils and Gems. They had really great displays with interactive mineral and rock exhibits. They showed old school up to current ways of transportation, space and flight exhibit as well. There were a really large dinosaur fossils. Ticket prices vary based on children,adult, senior. wether you get planetarium tickets or other exclusive deals.

This is one of my favorite museums. Maybe because I’m a huge Dino fan! They not only have the Dino’s but a big aerospace section. Star Wars fan? They have The Science of Star Wars on May 4th.
Expect to spend 4 hrs or more here! So much to look at and do! Very kid friendly. They have cool interactive things for ages 5 and up to play with and explore.

They do sensory friendly weekends. Great for autistic kiddos.
They do special exhibits so you’ll need to check their website for the dates.

Our 4 year old loved it! She had a blast panning for gemstones and digging for dinosaur bones. The kids area kept her occupied for well over an hour. Definitely worth visiting!

The museum is almost a 5! It needs a bit more pizazz. I am an avid museum goer and I enjoyed it. I do have an annual pass!

I think for young young kids there is a bit more in the play area - I didn’t explore that area. I think it could offer a bit more for teens and up.

I think it would also be cool if they embraced the area a bit more and had some full time exhibits about farm science.

The stones exhibit is amazing! Had so much fun! D

There is a small restaurant and it is pretty much like every museum restaurant.

The gift shop is fun and has items for kids and adults.

The outside area is fun to walk around and offers additional exhibits that are fun. There are also outdoor areas for picnics!

100% worth a visit!
