Croom Wildlife Management Area

Address: Brooksville, FL 34602, USA

Zoo Park

“This is an excellent place for riding off-road dirt bikes and atvs only. It's 2600 acres of fun filled trails, with lots of sand and some old mine pits that have some technical hills. This is one of my favorite places to ride, and i have been riding in 14 states. There are a couple of beginner areas for kids. The campground has water with 30/50 amp. Also, bath house and a dump station. Dogs are Not Allowed. It's well managed with friendly rangers that have responded quickly to any issues. I have been coming to this place for over 50 years, and I always have a great time.”

Moonlight Meadows DGC

Address: 24237 Malvern St, Brooksville, FL 34601, USA

Zoo Campground Park Lodging Spa

“Went out last night with my kids and husband. It was an amazing fun experience! Chuck(owner) is very nice! Playing at night gives a fun new challenge to the game. The baskets are perfectly lit for you to see in the dark. The upkeep is great for his intention of you playing at night in the dark. Amazing creative course.”

Safari Wilderness

Address: 10850 Moore Rd, Lakeland, FL 33809, USA

Zoo

“Our tour guide was JJ and she did a phenomenal job talking about all the different kinds of animals and fun facts about them. We went into this blind (knew little to nothing about what to expect) and all had a good time. Best part was definitely getting to feed the animals: water buffalo, llamas, lemurs, and a few others. The t-shirts in the gift shop were a little pricey (+$40) but they have some other more affordable goodies. Overall a good experience and would recommend if you enjoy animals. P.S. beware the ostriches”

Wild Florida Safari Drive Thru Park

Address: 3301 Lake Cypress Rd, Kenansville, FL 34739, USA

Zoo Park

“If you really want to see not just some big Florida gators, but tons of other wildlife as well, this place is amazing! Doing the walk through safari will get you up close to so many, like massive venomous snakes, capybara, sloths, birds, raccoons and similar species from all over the world... its just a great time. The sloth even had a baby clinging to her which you can see in my picture! The drive through safari is also quite amazing for the amount of different animals and the size of the safari itself as well. I personally really liked that the biggest gator they have controls whether or not he will perform and they do not try to force him when he isn't in the mood. Great place and great people working there!”

“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Jungle Island with a group of friends, and I must say it was an absolute delight. Our main highlight was the incredible sloth experience, and our guide, Jose, played a pivotal role in making the entire visit truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived at Jungle Island, it was evident that the care and dedication put into the facility were exceptional. The lush greenery and vibrant flora created a stunning backdrop, immersing us in a tropical paradise. The attention to detail in maintaining a beautiful and well-groomed environment was evident throughout the park, adding to the overall charm of the place. Our guide, Jose, was the star of the sloth experience. From the get-go, his passion for the animals and his extensive knowledge were evident. He went above and beyond to provide us with a wealth of information about the sloths, their habitat, and their behavior. Jose's enthusiasm was contagious, and his ability to convey his love for these amazing creatures truly enhanced the experience. We loved Rico Suave and Flash, the cutest sloths ever. What made Jose stand out was not only his expertise but also his warm and personable nature. He took the time to interact with each member of our group, ensuring that everyone felt included and engaged. He patiently answered all our questions and shared fascinating stories about the sloths, making the encounter educational and entertaining at the same time. Jungle Island itself was a haven for nature enthusiasts. The animals were well taken care of, and their habitats were well designed. It was heartening to see the dedication of the staff in providing a safe and comfortable home for the animals, and their commitment to conservation was evident throughout the park. Beyond the sloth experience, Jungle Island offered a diverse array of animal exhibits that captivated our attention. From exotic birds to reptiles and mammals, there was something for everyone. The opportunity to witness these magnificent creatures up close was truly awe-inspiring and left us with a deep appreciation for the wonders of the animal kingdom. In conclusion, my visit to Jungle Island was a truly fantastic experience. The combination of a beautiful setting, well-cared-for animals, and knowledgeable guides like Jose made it an unforgettable adventure. Whether you're a nature lover or simply looking for an exciting and educational outing, Jungle Island is a must-visit destination. I can't recommend it enough, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of the captivating wildlife and natural beauty that Jungle Island has to offer.”

Ralph E Simmons Wildlife Management Area

Address: 32046, Hilliard, FL 32046, USA

Zoo Park

“Great spot on the river. A bit of a hike to camping site. However, I Do not recommend for those who are afraid of the dark. Saw and heard very very creepy stuff. In the Middle of the night I swear I heard something that sounded like a screaming banshee and tons of shadow figures. Ghost hunter paranormal hot spot for sure. (Wasn’t expecting that!)”

Highland Horse Farm

Address: 5118 Cattail St, Middleburg, FL 32068, USA

Zoo Travel agency

“The experience was really fun and the people were super nice and hospitable, they gave me fresh eggs, water, and a popsicle with no extra charge! The only downside was one of their saddles gave me a bruise bc the ends were bent upwards and the horses were not used to exercising or experienced riders for a long period of time, but it was all worth it!! Their dogs were super friendly and lovable and their bunnies were soo cute❤️”

“The Miami zoo is nice. Enjoyable experience, but expected a little more from a major zoo in sub tropical area. Giraffe area was great for kids. Botanical aspects were nice but not in the same league as San Diego. I rate Denver, Columbus, Cleveland, Omaha and National Zoo as better.”

Giraffe Ranch

Zoo Park

“I had solo blasting afternoon at the zoo to kill my time. I entered at 1.30 pm and I finished the trip at 5 pm on weekday and I covered most of it. Things to consider : —————————- - Book your tickets online in advance. They only accept cards every where no cash. - Get total experience ticket it’s worth every penny if you are visiting for the first time. It includes 1) feeding of - string rays , birds , Giraffe. 2) unlimited train rides. 3) 4D theatre experience. Along with Zoo entrance. - You are allowed get your own food ( better option I feel ) - Never miss 4D shows. Kids will love it . Go in advance if they say play is at 3 pm be there before 5 mins. —————————— I love the fact that gardens are really maintained well and with this crazy hot around I enjoyed walking in the afternoon too. I love the fact that volunteers are really very friendly. It’s above 5 star for their attitude and kind gesture. Overall it’s bit pricey but you will enjoy the trip with your total experience package.”

“This is a cute small farm. The animals are super friendly which is awesome and they have food in a bin that you can get cups of food to feed them. We did not get to see lamas because there was none there and the area with rabbits and piglets was so full of poop. Maybe wasn't cleaning time yet not sure but make sure you wear sneakers cause u can go in all the cages with the animals .”

“Been 2x so far, my son loves all the animals, we intend to come every few weeks to let him feed to goats and pet the sweet cow. The animals are worth the small admission fee; they all have their own little personalities, but they’re very gentle. My one year old feeds everything he can reach.”

St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park

Address: 999 Anastasia Blvd, St. Augustine, FL 32080, USA

“Absolutely amazing. I cannot describe how great of a natural history museum and live preserve this place is. If you enjoy everything they offer, you can spend hours here. They also have a well equipped snack bar with pizza and drinks and ice cream so don’t worry about food. The animal interactions are one of a kind. I have come here since I was a child and they are constantly improving the place. If you love the outdoors and animals, (they have things like sloths, snakes and lemurs too!) you will absolutely love this place and need it on your to do list.”

The boat ride was incredible!!! Got to see birds, alligators and fish at every corner. The driver can spit them right away!!! BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE! Sure will do it again.”

Anastasia State Park

Address: 300 Anastasia Park Rd, St. Augustine, FL 32080, USA

Zoo Park

“I cannot say enough about how amazing this park was. It was shaded and paved. The camping section is a bit far from the beach area, so you don't get Beach goers wandering through your site. There is a great local market that happens on weekends that you can easily get to. Definitely bring bikes to cruise around on! And the people at the kayak rental are awesome and do tours!”
