“Easily one of the best parks around for toddlers. My kid loves that he can play freely and because it's the perfect size, it boosts his confidence to be more independent in doing things and trying to do a lot on his own. Absolutely recommended for toddlers and parents that want to give their kid that encouragement to do things on their own. The natural coverage of the tree is amazing too, the sun can be pretty extreme but having the shade from the tree really helped cool me and my kid off when we needed a break.”

“It is a good place for a picnic and fishing. Although it's not a vast lake like Lake Monroe, it's easier to catch fish. There are catfish in this lake, and you can trap them with a suitable bait like baguette bread inside. There are two tennis courts beside it in Triplet Lake Dr. Also, it has a small playground for kids.”

“Big and small dogs in the same area! The big dogs were a little too aggressive for my smaller dogs. I wish they had a sperate area like other dog parks, big / small. Location is a little bit out of the way, but nice setup.”

“I'm guessing this is the park by my girlfriends house. They have made it a lot better. They have a sidewalk around the lake and put in benches, trash cans , dock, and a water feature in the lake that has lights at night. Soon to come a gazebo.”

“Very clean and well maintained park. We even saw a person working and cleaning as we were there. Nicely spaced out and separated by activity and age groups, so the kids can play according to their age and size comfortably. A huge plus that it is fenced in and a nice walk from the parking lot to the actual playground area provides added safety! Will be back for sure! 😊”

“This is a little known but very beautiful trail that takes you from the Chuluota Wilderness Area to the St. John's River. It's a long walk to the river and back, maybe 10 miles, but it's beautiful, and worth it. The easiest place to park is at the Chuluota WA. You can hike through the wilderness area if you want to avoid the road between the parking area and the trailhead, but that will add a little bit to your walk.”

“This is best found by hiking the train from the end of Brumley Road. If you make the hike out along the Econ River, look for this shelter near it's mouth where it empties into the St. John's River. It will give you shelter from the hot sun and rain and let you enjoy the beautiful meanders of the Econ River in the shade. The shelter is sometimes obscured by trees, so keep your eye out for it.”

“I've hiked this trail numerous times over the past 2 years, and have always enjoyed the flora and fauna this designated wilderness offers. Alligators are a fairly common sight, and there are numerous variety of birds. Deer, raccoon and otters I have sighted, and yes, there are definitely bears in this area. The tremendous changes in the landscape depending upon the season, can vary greatly. It is a popular site, however and therefore the sense of solitude of being out in nature, will also vary widely depending on when one is on the trail, and how busy it is. The trail is usually well maintained, and only occasionally is the area closed, usually due to flooding or windfall (as in hurricane.)”

“What a beautiful Seminole County trail that they have maintained for the public. It is a 7.1 Mile hike through four very diverse systems. If you begin the loop tour to the right you will walk towards a prairie as it progresses into a swamp area. The trail begins to become harder as more and more tree roots flood the path toward the St Johns River. Do to the two hurricanes last year, the tree rooted Trail around the St Johns River is pretty steep, eroded and in certain parts you will walk sideways on the trail. The trail finally starts to level out a little when you get away from the wetlands and you go towards the forested area underneath the wild Citrus trees. By the time you hit the 5.5 mile marker it starts to even out of it as you begin to walk back towards the parking area. My family and I saw 8 alligators multiple species of birds, squirrels and of course the occasional turtle on the trail. We did however see no bears. My recommendation is if you are a novice hiker or walker you may just want to hike one mile or so in and then the one mile back to the parking area as it gets progressive more difficult and strenuous the further you hike. All in all, a fantastic trail!”
