“Very nice primitive park. We camped out in February and were the ONLY ones within miles! Not a single mosquito bite! Absolutely marvellous place . Many people riding 4wheelers around , but everyone was very nice! if you take the North Entrance (Bee Line Hwy) the roads are good all the way to camp sites!”

“Such a nice, quiet place to walk. If you get here early enough, around sunrise, you may even see some deer! You can definitely hear the wildlife out off the trail. An extension of the trail, the Promontory Trail, goes along a levee out into the open marshlands for an extra mile one-way. I strongly suggest you go the extra mile.”

“If you love the beautiful natural flora and fauna of South Florida, this is the spot for you. It is a wide, easy boardwalk trail that allows you to see Florida’s beauty in safety and ease. I see families with strollers, don’t bring your pets, though. Definitely take a camera, there are wide expanses of The Everglades and Cypress trees that are very picturesque. I’ve also noticed that there are kayaks, so I’m sure there are rentals available as well. I just went there and fell in love with it. You can reach their offices and find out what sort of programs they have available. I see there are children’s programs there as well. They have quite a bit going on. I try to get there in the mornings and do a brisk walk, you can’t find a more beautiful spot. It’s a nice alternative to the beach in the cooler months. And if you simply want to do the walk, it is free.”

“I love going to Peanut Island. I've been going since I was about seven years old with my family. now I'm 35 and I have a family of my own and I take my children there. it's absolutely beautiful and a great time! I would absolutely recommend it you will not be disappointed especially if you are an outdoorsy type and your family loves being at the beach. You can also rent on water Huts. We always have so much fun!”

“Nice small part. Great covered area if you wanted to have a function. Pretty new playground (no swings) rated for ages 2 to 5. Little trail to take a quick run with exercise stations along the way and it does have a port-a-potty trailer that is kept pretty clean.”
